"Night." Langa said over the phone, his voice low so his mom didn't hear him. I laid in my bed with my eyes closed and smiled. "Good night." I said and my body felt all warm inside. But he didn't hang up. "I'm gonna hang up now." I said quietly and he hummed softly. "I just want to hear your voice a little longer." He said before I could hang up and I chuckled softly. "Okay." I mumbled about things I've probably already told him a million times but he didn't stop me.

"I drew a picture in class today." I said and he hummed softly. I bit my nail and tried to picture it in my mind. "There were two boys. And uh...they were holding hands." Langa coughed lightly and I smiled softly, remembering the picture perfectly. "And one of them had crazy, untamable hair while the other had smooth, soft hair." Langa stopped humming along and I got choked up on my words.

"I should probably go now, it's getting kind of late." I said and he was quiet. "No, tell me the rest, I'm trying to picture it." I bit at the inside of my mouth and let out a soft sigh, feeling like I was about to pass out. "The one with soft hair had pale, lightly freckles skin and scuffs on his face." I let out a breath and Langa started to talk. "Did the other have beautiful brown eyes and nice, tan skin?" He asked and I smiled, chuckling ever so slightly to myself. "Yeah." I looked around my room and curled up under my blanket.

"Langa, do you get it?" He made a soft noise. "Yeah." He said and sounded happy and exhausted. "But I haven't told you the best part yet." I smiled and closed my eyes, picturing laying in bed just like me. "What is it?" He asked and I rubbed my face a little. "They both love each other... a lot. And- uh... rekis too scared to tell the other boy." I whispered the last part and he made a stupid comment. "What are you too scared to tell me?" He asked and I bit down on my finger.

"Lots of things. But I guess mainly that I want to hold your hand...sometimes." I blushed and he chuckled softly. "I'll keep that in my mind." It got quiet for a second and I rolled onto my back. "Good night." He said in a tired voice and I nodded to myself. "Night." I hung up and stared at my ceiling in disbelief.
