A skated down the street with Langa and hit pebble after pebble. "Langa~, you're leaving me behind." I whined and he looked back at me, holding his hand out "Youre just slow." He stuck his tongue out and I sped up, trailing behind him. My board suddenly stopped and I flung forward, my hands and knees scraping against the concrete.

I groaned and laid on the ground dramatically. Langa peered and me and squared down. "You alright, man?" I shook my head and put the back of my hand on my forehead "Langa! I'm dying!" I exclaimed and flopped on the ground. He giggled and wiped his smile away. I looked a him, my face warming up as I caught a glimpse of his warm smile. I reached out for his hand and sat up slowly. "Do you think you'll live?" He asked jokingly and I shook my head.

"Look at me, I might bleed out." I put my knee up with the scrape barely bleeding. Langa laughed softly and hid his smile with the back of his hand. I laughed all my and watched him, wishing his hand would drop. I reached my hand out and touched his finger lightly. He looked at me, confused and I pulled my hand away. "Let's get home, my mom made brownies." I said quickly and grabbed my skateboard.

We skated home quietly and I set my hand in my pockets, staring at the ground. 'Idiot, just push these feelings down, they'll go away eventually.' I thought and peeked a quick look at him. He was focused ahead of us and I smiled softly, my nose warmer than the rest of my face.

We got back to my house and I kicked my skateboard against the wall before heading inside. I walked into my room and Langa followed me, a brownie in his hand. "God your mom makes the best brownies." He said with a full mouth and I couldn't help but to smile. I sat quietly on my bed and wiped the scrapes with a clean towel.

I laid down and stared at the ceiling. "Langa." I said and he looked over. "Hm?" I avoided looking at him and continued. "Do you like Gia? That foreign exchange student?" He was quiet and then shook his head "Uh, no. Why?" He smiled slightly and I sat up. "Do you like girls, Langa?" He stared at me, his eyes slightly wide. "That's such a weird thing the ask, why does it matter?"

I pressed my palm onto my eyes and leaned on my thighs. "Listen it matters a lot more than you'd know, okay? So do you like girls or boys?" He pulled his foot onto the bed and finished his brownie. "Uh. Both." He said quietly and I finally looked over at him. His face was all red, almost as red as mine felt. I rubbed my neck and the room was dead silent.

He had a sympathetic smile on his face and even though it was down through pity it made me feel all warm inside. "Smile..." I whispered and he gave a confused look. "Huh?" He mumbled and I glanced down to his lips. "I really like your smile." I said in a shaky voice and the smile seemed to disappear from his face. I looked away and stood up. "Do you want another brownie?" I said trying to change the subject. "Uh...uh no. I'm okay." I scratched his neck and had a confused look on his face.

He had a slight smile when he looked up at me. "Your hair is such a mess." He pointed to my hair and I flattened it down. "Youre one to talk." He stood up and grabbed my hand as he walked straight to the bathroom. I stood there and he brushed through my hair. The headband fell around my neck and I watched him focus on my hair.

His eyes are pretty too, and...and his skin looks really soft. My eyes landed on his lips and I stared at them. "Okay, Im done." He patted my shoulders and ran the brush through my hair one last time. What am I doing? One second I was standing still and the next I was leaning forward. 'Reki. Reki. Stop, what are you doing?' Ran through my mind but it was too late. Our lips met and he jumped back.

I held onto his face and kissed him again. And again. The hair brush fell from his hands and made a loud noise when it hit the ground. "Boys? Are you okay?" My mom yelled and I had to stop myself from kissing him again. I pulled away from him and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I whispered in his ear and he took a second the hug me back. "Boys?"

My mom said in a quiet voice as she peeked into the bathroom. I nodded and pulled langas waist closer. "We're fine." I whispered and she walked away. "Reki, please let me go." Langa said quietly and I hesitated to let go of him. I finally took my arms away and stepped back, avoiding his gaze. "I'm sorry." I said and picked at my nails. "I'm really sorry." I repeated and rubbed my eye that threatened to well in tears.

"Reki it's okay, really, stop apologizing." He smiled awkwardly and I glanced at him. "Just- forget that. Forget I did that, It was a mistake." I shook it off and smiled softly. He looked at me with his mouth slightly open. "Re-" "My moms making dinner, do you want to stay over or go back home?" I interrupted him, scared of what he might say. "No-no reki-" I walked past him and looked over my shoulder. "It's stir fry, come on you love that, just stay over."

I forced a smile on my face and he looked as if he gave up. "Okay." He mumbled and followed me out to the kitchen. We both sat down and I avoided striking up conversation. The room was loud around us, my sisters yelling for more rice. I picked at my food and moving it around with my fork. "Reki baby, what's wrong? You're hardly eating." My mom said and put a spoonful of meat on my rice. "I'm not hungry." Langa looked over at me and I glanced at him out of the corner of my eyes.

A warm hand slipped onto my knee and Langa took another bite. He dropped his napkin and leaned down to grab it. "Come on, eat something, you'll worry her." I looked up and then back down at his hand on my leg. I set my elbow on the table and my sister swatted me. "That's not what mommy taught you." She scolded, slurring her 's' since her front teeth were non existent.

I looked at Langa and he smiled softly. He rubbed my leg softly, moving his hand to my mid thigh. "I want to tell you something later." He whispered and I nodded, my eyes looking at his warm smile.

After dinner I walked outside with langa. He messed with his hoodie and we walked down the street in comfortable silence. "You didn't let me say what I wanted to say earlier." I watched my feet as we walked. "Sorry-" "stop saying that." He interrupted and I looked up him quickly. He quickly apologized and shut his mouth. "What's you want to say?" I asked and his arm brushed against mine.

"If I didn't like that you kissed me, do you really think I'd still be here right now?" He asked and I felt his warm hand hit mine. "No." I mumbled and he smiled slightly. It was quiet and I looked in his eyes. "Do you understand what I'm saying reki?" He finally grabbed my hand and my stomach turned. "Reki?" He said, my name rolling off his tongue.

It made my heart burn as he stared at me, the pure look of love in his eyes. "I like you reki." He had a worrisome look on his face and my mind froze, my eyes darting around his face. He tripped over the curb as we kept walking and I chuckled into my hand. He pushed off the ground and looked at me, blush covering his face. I leaned down and touched his cheek lightly. "Look who's clumsy now." I said and our eyes locked together.

We both had stupid smiles on our faces. What a silly think. I swear my eyes turned to hearts the longer I looked at him. He tapped his lap and scratched it softly. "I think I bruised it, can you kiss it better?" He asked and I held back a little laugh. "Sure." I leaned forward and gave him a long, much needed kiss.
