TODOROKI LET OUT A BREATH, watching it puff up in the cold air. His hands were shoved into the pockets of his fuzzy coat, brows furrowed as he waited for his girlfriend. Ever since university had kickstarted, it'd been difficult for the two to coordinate dates such as these. However, winter break was finally on, so they were determined to make the most out of the time they had.

He was currently waiting for her bus, sneakers shuffling into the snow and drawing random patterns. A rosy pattern colored his cheeks and part of him wanted to duck into the bagel shop nearby for a hint of warmth, but he knew she'd be more enthralled to see him standing at the bus stop, poised for her and her only.

Shoto continued drawing in the snow, his head turning up at the distant rumbles of a loud engine that soon screeched to a halt. The doors flew open and people streamed out, his heterochromatic eyes peeled wide open in search of his girlfriend. It wasn't hard to find her, her face immediately brightening at the sight of him as she raced to him. 

"Shoto!" She called, racing towards him as he chuckled softly. "Be careful, you might slip on the ice." The dual-haired male paced towards her nonetheless, easily catching her in his arms when she threw herself at him. A wave of warmth washed over him and he let out a sigh of relief, pulling her closer as his eyes shut in bliss.

Todoroki glanced at her, waiting for her to pick something from the shop. They had spent the entire day walking around the Christmas-themed shops and had gotten a few snacks as well as a few gifts for family and friends. "Are they really that exciting?" He questioned. He didn't mean to sound condescending, brows furrowed in curiosity. 

Y/n wasn't the slightest bit offended though, understanding what he meant. "Yeah, there's glitter and everything! It's so pretty when you shake it!" She grabbed one of the snowglobes, rattling it in her hand as the said substances washed over the little figurine in the middle. His lips shaped a small smile at the sight of her sheer childishness.

"Pick one, then," He encouraged her, nodding. A pout took over her face, "I would, but I used the last of my money for those nice smelling candles." The girl nodded her head to a shop they had gone to previously, her fingers slipping away from the snow globe as she put it back on the shelf. He watched her leave the aisle, rolling his eyes before grabbing it himself, heading to the cashier.

An unusually long day
But it's not too bad because you're warm
Just like that, with nothing to do
I can live just like that

"Sorry for keeping you out in the cold so long," Y/n muttered. Since she was a kid, she had always been fascinated over winter and loved playing in the snow. However, Todoroki was always the opposite. He was the type to get sick easily growing up, so winter had easily become his least favorite season.

Albeit all that hatred over the years, he felt content this time. He wasn't sure why, but there was a sense of warmth and love that simply radiated off of his girlfriend; being in her presence was worth it enough to put up with his least favorite season. "Don't apologize," Todoroki said curtly, sipping from the hot chocolate he had gotten the both of them.
