"I CAN DO IT," There it is. The argument that always happened twice a week; about who was going to go on the grocery run. It was always the same. Iida was the most responsible but wanted the others to pull their weight too. However, the main problem was that some of them were irresponsible.

They sent Denki once and he managed to bring back three grocery bags full of ice cream and none of the stuff that they needed. They sent Shoji once, but his mask slipped and a little girl got scared. Sending Tokoyami was a mess because Dark Shadow had little to no self-control. And don't even get me started on Bakugo.

The only successful people were Yaomomo, Kirishima, and Ochaco. The others were either too lazy to do it or were deemed irresponsible according to Iida. "You want to do what?" The entire class paused, heads turning to the usually silent Todoroki. He sat on the couch, shrugging. He was usually absent for their pre-shopping arguments, usually busy studying in his room.

"It doesn't matter to me. I just need a list," He said blandly.

Yaomomo and Iida shared silent looks, the other people in the class already retreating to their rooms to avoid being pestered into it. "That's it, Todoroki will be going for the class." Iida turned his head, announcing the statement to no one in particular. It seemed like he hardly realized that the majority of his classmates had already snuck back to their rooms.

Todoroki shrugged again, eyes widening when a list was slammed into his chest. "Good luck," Iida said with a curt nod, walking past him as Yaomomo shyly smiled, waving him off. Todoroki blinked, looking down at the long list as his jaw fell slack. Maybe I shouldn't have volunteered. His eyebrow twitched and he sighed, shoving the list into his trousers and walking out.

As soon as he walked into the grocery store, he grew a little startled. His sister was typically the one that went shopping, so it was weird to see a bunch of people huddled around aisles of shelves filled with different kinds of things. Somehow though, he managed to awkwardly scoot past kids and wives alike, venturing back and forth between the spaces.

And after twenty minutes of wandering, he was lost.

"Oranges," The poor boy mumbled, moping in the middle of the aisle as he was surrounded by pancake and waffle mix. Small steps sounded nearby before a cheery voice rang out. "You could have picked up a basket at the front, sir. Do you want me to get one for you?" He glanced over his shoulder. And in that moment, he saw an angel.

Okay, maybe not literally, but seeing that he was desperate and growing increasingly depressed at his heightening failure, the girl was truly an angel in disguise. When Todoroki didn't answer, she was forced to speak up again. "Sir, do you need help with something?" He stared at her and answered in a broken voice. "Oranges. . . "

She blinked in confusion, giggling afterward as she recognized him from the Yuuei Sports Festival; it was something she had watched on TV. The girl knelt down, quickly organizing his things to stay out of the middle of the aisle. "Wait here," She smiled cutely, skipping off to the front again.

Before she had left, he caught a glimpse of her name. "Y/n," He mumbled under his breath, watching as a few minutes later she returned with two baskets. "You seem to be new to the whole grocery shopping thing, so I can help you out if you'd like." Her offer was too kind for him to turn down, so he meekly nodded and helped her stuff the other things in the basket.

One hung off his forearm and the other hung off hers, a chirpy tune slipping past her lips as she ventured down various aisles. Occasionally, she would add other things to their basket or ask questions, most of them about Yuuei. "It's been okay. Just strenuous," Todoroki admitted, reaching for a bottle of maple syrup.

"Huh, I wish my school was as entertaining as Yuuei. I'm quirkless, so I go to a regular school."

Despite the slightly frustrated tone in her voice, she didn't look bothered in the slightest. "I'm sure there are things that can entertain you there too. Doesn't your school have. . . clubs?" It took the dual-haired male a while to remember the word, watching as she set a bag of chips in his basket. "They do. I'm in volleyball; as the boys' team manager." She clarified.

"My brother's cooler though. He has a quirk that goes bam, whoosh, and whoo, y'know?! It's so cool. I think you've met him," Y/n took a moment, blinking as she scratched her chin to stare at Todoroki. He had no idea who she was talking about in the first place, staring blankly back at her as he tilted his head to mimic her actions.

Bam, whoosh, and whoo? Todoroki was absolutely bewildered.

"Inasa! Y'know, um, tall loud tornado man!" She said, waving her arms around and nearly dropping the basket. He chuckled at her clumsiness, grabbing it swiftly and stopping it from sliding off of her arm. Y/n pinked at his soft laugh, finding it adorable as he slowly let go of the basket, letting her readjust it herself.

"He's your brother?" Todoroki blinked in confusion as she cheerily nodded. As he gazed at her, he noticed some of the similarities. However, there was hardly any physical ones. "Stepsiblings, but yeah," She chirped happily, stowing away the last item in his basket. He just nodded meekly, following after her.

She glanced at the list he had handed her earlier, humming under her breath as she gave everything in the baskets one more look. "That should be it! You can go check out now," Y/n smiled warmly at him, handing him the list back. She was about to skip past him, but he quickly whirled around with an embarrassed look on his face.

He wasn't going to lie, she was gorgeous in his eyes. Add to that her beautiful personality, she was a hell of a catch and he certainly caught her interest. "I think there's one more thing missing on my list," Todoroki blurted out, his cheeks heating up as Y/n approached him again, reading the paper in his hands.

"What is it?" Her brows furrowed, her expression indicating that she found nothing missing.

"Your number." Immediately after he said that Todoroki wanted nothing more than to die. His face turned red and he was completely sure that it rivaled his scar. The girl he flirted with turned red too, a small squeak slipping past her lips as she stared at him with wide eyes. "Um, s-sure." He blinked in surprise, watching as she took out a pen.

The girl quickly scrawled her number on the back of his shopping list, handing it back to him afterward. "My shift ends at four, so you can text me then if you want." Y/n said sheepishly, beaming at him again before disappearing down another aisle. Todoroki blinked, soft sigh of relief escaping his lips as he looked down at the successful outcome.

He breathed. Three more hours to go.
