BAKUGO WAS ALWAYS A gentle lover. It was hard to believe with his calloused hands and bad boy nature, but he was. There were moments where his eyes would just gaze at you, his mind lost in his own little world as he hopelessly stared at the love of his life. Despite his roughness and ego, his biggest weakness was a person: a love.
He still remembered meeting you. To this day, that scene had ran through his mind dozens of times. From the time he was gaining the nerves to ask you out to the point where he'd bought you a ring. He remembered the rapid sound of your heels, the scent of your perfume, and your odd carelessness as you ran past a villain fight.
At that moment, you considered your greatest fear and worry to be turning in some documents late; not some stupid hunk-looking villain terrorizing your work commute. He didn't meet you at the prettiest of moments. Grabbing your elbow and yanking it back was definitely not a glorious action.
Especially when you slapped him afterward.
And somehow, someway, on God's great big green earth, you constantly ran into him in the least beautifying of moments. After throwing up on a rollercoaster? Check. Post-crying session over a sad movie? Check. Aggressively buying pads and chocolate? Unfortunately. It was as if Lady Luck hated you with a burning passion.
However, those moments racked up memories and in the end, you two had fallen head over heels with one another over the course of two months. Not the most fashionable way, of course, but who controls how you meet the love of your life?
Yet, albeit all these unfortunately run-ins, it led you two to each other and you both felt things they swore you'd never felt before. Bakugo swore nobody had ever made his cheeks flush faster than when you had reached up to clip his hair back when they cooked. You nearly threw up your heart yourself when Bakugo hadn't wasted any words and straight on punched the guy who flirted with you in a bar.
How do you verbally explain that anyway?
Needless to say, you had to call one of his friends to bail him out of jail and the only reason needed for such an emergency was "It's Bakugo". Still, in the strangest of ways, you had fallen for him more. It was the little things. How he showed up at your workplace when he was 'bored', how you always made sure he was eating and resting properly.
Always the little things.
Sometimes Bakugo wondered if he was right for this. If he was right to hold your waist so gently and kiss you with a burning passion that rivaled a thousand suns. Was it okay if his hand reached out for yours first? Would you mind his callouses and roughness and the extra burning sugar scent of his sweat that coated his palms?
Yes, yes, no.
You never minded.
Maybe that's why Bakugo was so drawn to you in the first place. It wasn't because you were stoic and organized; it was your thought process, your words, your mind: you. He hated how weak you made him feel sometimes. He remembered trying extra hard pummeling that villain that was just a few blocks from your office building.
He remembered avoiding you for a few days after a big fight because he was so injured. He didn't want you to worry. The blond simply couldn't get enough of you. He loved the way you'd gently reach for his forearms in an attempt to stabilize him when he felt like the world was too much. He loved how you cupped his jaw gently to make him look at you.
