YOU SIPPED FROM YOUR DRINK, watching your girlfriend from afar. Mina had a large smile on her face, clearly peppy as she dragged Uraraka onto the dancing floor, forcing the brunette to dance along with her. They were currently celebrating their graduation from Yuuei. They had already had a whole school celebration, but 1-A had planned to celebrate on their own that night too.
Hence, everyone from 1-A had reserved a bar together with the help of Todoroki's credit card stealing ability and Yaomomo's backup funds. "You aren't going to dance with your own girlfriend?" Jirō teased, sipping from her own drink as her dark eyes met yours. You shrugged lightly, glancing back at your girlfriend.
"She's having fun on her own, so I'll just wait until she's tipsy enough to attempt to drag me over."
Tokoyami chuckled from beside you, shaking his head. Dark Shadow even seemed to be enjoying the party since it was relatively dim with only a few neon lights streaming around the room. "That won't take long. From what I can tell she's already tripping over her own feet." You glanced back at your girlfriend, watching as she indeed almost misstepped and landed on the floor.
"And that's my cue," You stood up from your seat, wandering over to Mina. Smoothly, your hands landed on the pink-skinned female's waist, holding her steady. She was initially surprised but turned to face you with a big grin on her face. "Y/n! You look hot," Ashido mumbled, staring at you briefly.
You rolled your eyes slightly, a teasing smile on your lips. "I know, babe. That's the fifth time you've told me all night." Indeed, it seemed like amidst her drunk confusion, Ashido was giving compliments she didn't remember already giving. Uraraka smiled awkwardly, "She told me my hair clips were nice three times. You should probably take her to the dorms, Y/n."
"No, I don't want to go home!" Mina blubbered, the alcohol kicking in more and more as each second passed. You sighed and looked over at her, "Babe, c'mon. It's better if you get to your bed now so that you'll feel better in the morning." You attempted to lift her but all she did was kick you, her heel bashing against your knee.
You let out a breath at that, wincing against the pain. If you were to use your steel quirk, you'd probably hurt her in the process. "They're playing No Rules!" Ashido cheered, wriggling out of your grip enough to drag you further onto the dance floor. You let her do as she pleased, watching as she danced to the Tomorrow x Together song.
You stared at her, watching as she pouted at you. You weren't sure if it was the lights or her own fake tears, but her eyes were glistening as they bored into yours. "Please? Just one dance," She said, clearly getting upset as the song continued on. You caved in, nodding at her and swiftly taking her hand in yours.
It was rare for you to dance, ever. When Mina found out about that, you two would often dance together which was how the relationship bloomed over time. Mina being around and dancing with you helped you get over your lost dreams. You still danced, sometimes. However, it was usually with her and not in a public area like this.
Surprisingly, No Rules was a fairly cute song and the beat was steady enough for you to freestyle. Mina followed your lead, for the most part, occasionally shooting you the most adorable grin you'd ever seen. You would turn your head away with a light blush each time before turning to smile at her in return, moving your feet perfectly in time with the song.
You let out a sigh of relief, pulling off the rest of the choreography smoothly (most of which you pulled out of your ass). "Okay, time to go." You didn't waste any time, grasping your girlfriend's wrist and attempting to lead her out of the club. Mina whined again, stopping right in her tracks once the first few notes of Whistle by Blackpink rang out.
You knew exactly why she stopped you.
This was one of the songs you had performed as a trainee for the monthly evaluations and it was one of the first songs you had performed in front of Mina before teaching it to her. "This one, this last one!" The girl begged and you looked at her, watching her look at you with unbearably sad puppy eyes.
You looked at her and let out a breath. "You're lucky you're cute."
She smiled brightly at you as the two of you followed the beat perfectly. After all, it was a song that was practically engraved into your movements and hers. Despite it talking about messing with a boy, it was even funnier performing this with your girlfriend. She owes me so much after this.
The class hadn't seen you dance up until now, so being forced into dancing in front of them was beyond nervewracking. Well, it wasn't so much force. Ashido clearly wanted you to be more confident and open to everyone in the class (even though you were graduating) which clearly hadn't progressed very much since your first year in Yuuei.
You had opened up a little bit, but not enough to reveal tons about your personal life. In fact, the only ones who even knew about your intense training as an idol were Tokoyami, Jirō, Shoji, Mina, and of course your brother from 1-B. "Y/n, I didn't know you could dance!" Midoriya spoke up, green eyes wide in awe.
You didn't mean to offend the boy, but you didn't respond to his compliment, moving in time with Mina. The song slowly came to an end and you could see her movements grow more and more sluggish as the seconds passed. "This is exactly why I wanted to head home," You let out a sigh, glancing at her figure.
Mina was good at dancing, but her movements were way more energetic than yours. What she made up for in stage presence, she lacked in stamina. "We're going back, no objections." Even though Yuuei was offering you all to stay about a month longer in the dorm, a lot of people had already planned to go home to spend time with their families.
You and Mina had decided to stay another week or so at the dorms just to spend time together before heading back to your respective homes. You swiftly picked her up midsong, waving lightly at Tokoyami and Jirō. Mina slumped against you, her head resting on your shoulder.
Luckily Shoji was outside (something about his ears not being able to handle that much stimulation) and was nice enough to call you a cab back. "Knew you'd knock out," You mumbled softly, glancing down at your girlfriend. She was fast asleep, her eyes closed with an almost angelic expression on her face.
You slid her into the backseat before taking a seat yourself, sparing a look at the driver.
"Yuuei Dorms, please."
