I have to confess that sometimes
I don't like the way you are
Then you disappear
And I don't really understand whyY/N SCRUNCHED HER NOSE, glancing at her boyfriend as he made his way into the apartment. Just like before, he had been gone another week without warning and she was just expected to 'be okay with it'. She knew that due to his career as a pro-hero, his schedule was hectic and overbearing, but did it really cost so much to warn her of his absence beforehand?
"Dinner got cold," Her sentence was stern and he looked at her briefly. His red eyes held all kinds of emotions, but above all, exhaustion. Bakugo looked like he wanted to collapse right then and there. "Seven times this week." She said firmly, eyes unwavering from his. He swallowed harshly. He knew what he did was wrong.
Disappearing without warning was alarming. What if something bad had happened to him while he was out? How would you know where he was? How would you be able to come to his aid? It was almost impossible to tell the conclusions that would come up if those changes had occurred.
Instead, Bakugo just gazed back at her, his expression softening when she set her face in her hands. Her shoulders shook and he could tell the waves of worry finally came crashing down, washing all over her intensely. He strode over to her quickly, setting his arms around her as he pulled her close.
He shut his eyes, quietly whispering endless apologies in her ear.
You don't say anything romantic
When the sunset arrives
You get a weird humor
Every full moon a month"Let's go,"
Bakugo sounded incredibly impatient. Y/n looked up from fixing her earrings, eyes glancing at her boyfriend briefly. She knew why he was being so persistent, but it still hurt. The two hardly went on date nights, so it was often that he would take her on one, only for his mind to be muddled with work-related things.
It wasn't uncommon for him to take her out on a date and for it to be some kind of undercover bust too. However, Y/n had learned the hard way that Bakugo tended to make up for whatever he did. No matter how poor it was, he always did something equivalent to good to make her feel better and reassure her about their relationship.
"Is this one an undercover thing?" She muttered bitterly.
She still didn't understand why her presence was so important for him to do his job well.
However, he'd never admit that fighting to protect her only made him more determined to be the winner.
But to everything else
The good you give to me wins
Just having you close
I feel that I start again"Here,"
She stood, stunned and looking at him with wide eyes. He was supposed to come home hours ago but then ended up calling her and telling her he'll be late. Now, he had arrived at their front door, not even opening it even though he had a key. Instead, Bakugo held a bouquet of flowers, an embarrassed scowl on his face.
His entire face was a light red and it took all of Y/n not to burst out laughing. She slowly took the gift from him, a smile stretching across her lips. As soon as he told her not to laugh, she ended up laughing anyway and he grumbled under his breath, playfully attempting to grab the flowers back from her.
