HE PANTED, sweat rolling off his chiseled abs as he tensed his muscles, forcing his figure down once more before bringing it back up. It was a repetitive (and slightly painful) process, but it was satisfying to know that he was keeping himself in shape. Currently, he was in the second floor of the duplex apartment he shared with his girlfriend, working out.

Similarly, his girlfriend was on the first floor, probably painting. The two had set it up so their workspaces were merely a ceiling away, letting Mirio quite literally pop his head into her room as he pleased. He moved to sit up, grabbing a towel before wiping it against his forehead in an effort to get rid of the droplets that rolled down his skin.

His hands moved toward the water bottle after, grasping it before twisting it skillfully. In the middle of a drink, a knock resounded on the floor beneath him and he grew startled. Mirio quickly capped the drink before popping his head into her art room, immediately met with the sight of his paint-covered girlfriend.

A pensive look was on her eyes, dots of purple and yellow covering her fingers as she stood on the chair that elevated her enough to tap the ceiling. Splashes of gray had somehow coated her eyebrows and forehead too, forcing Mirio to bite his bottom lip in an attempt to keep himself from laughing.

"What's up, babe?"

The blond finally spoke, brows furrowed as he tilted his head at her; well, as well as he could seeing that he was looking at her upside down. She pursed her lips before speaking. "I wanted your opinion on something." He blinked, about to swing his figure to go through the entire ceiling, but she quickly stopped him.

"Ah, don't. You'll be naked,"

"Nothing you've never seen before," He said with a cheeky smile. She rolled her eyes, already flustered before she flicked her paintbrush, some of the colors splattering against his face as he squeezed his eyes shut in response. "Anyway, what's the question?" Mirio asked, one eyebrow still raised in a curious manner.

Her eyes darted to the canvas almost immediately and he followed her gaze, turning his head slowly. "Do you think some blue would make it look bad?" His blue eyes bore into the canvas; in all honesty, no matter how many times Mirio looked at one of her works, he had no idea what she was attempting to do.

It's not that he didn't think her art was pretty, but he never knew what was going on in her head; an artist's mind is a mind of their own. He chewed on his lip, "If I say no, you'll add it out of spite. If I say yes, you'll decide on your own." Mirio remarked cheekily, his positive tone turning into a whine as gray paint splattered on her cheek.

"Just tell me, Miri," She mumbled. It was only a letter off from his actual name, but her little nickname for him always made his heart flutter. The blond sighed, "Look at me." Her eyes instantly darted to him and she was surprised as his hands went through the ceiling, lifting her chin smoothly as her lips met his.

He pulled away after a bit and a small whine left her, a laugh slipping past his lips. "Do what you feel comfortable with, love. If you need a break from the painting, take it. You always think so hard, but we both know your own motivation will come at its own time." Mirio spoke the truth with an optimistic tone.

She kissed him again, a frown on her lips. "I hate how right you are sometimes. I just really want to finish this painting right now." Mirio grinned at her, a dust of pink on her cheeks. "Rushing yourself won't do anything, sunshine. You'll just end up with something you aren't happy with." Y/n caved in, slowly setting the paintbrush down.

"Alright, alright. I'm just going to go shower then," The girl muttered.

His blue eyes widened and he tensed, "Oh, let me join you!" There was a cheery tint to his voice, but Y/n knew better than to let him in the shower with her. Her face lit up a bright red, a flustered look on her face. "Absolutely not!" A childish pout shaped his lips and he whined. "But babe!" Before he could grab her with the hands he filtered through the wall, she was running away.

Y/n hopped off the chair, slipping from his grasp as she set the paintbrush on her messy table. "Off I go!" She cheered and another groan left his lips as he popped away from the wall, his entire physical figure sitting up on the second floor. He quickly got his stuff together, setting it aside before rushing into the bathroom, chasing after her.

"Nope, nope!" Y/n sang out, a squeal leaving her lips as his strong arms wrapped around her waist. Her hands had no choice but to land on his chiseled abs, another burst of red filling her face. He smirked, tilting his head smugly as he stared down at his girlfriend. "Aw, is my little sunshine embarrassed?"

"Shut up!" She shoved his face away, growing more and more embarrassed.

"I will if you let me shower with you," He smiled teasingly.

Y/n glared at him, brows furrowed. She childishly bounced on her heels in a thoughtful manner, making him suppress a laugh. Her lips pulled into a small pout before she answered, but it was clear that the answer was far from needing 'careful consideration'. "Fine, you can join me." Mirio's lips broke into a large grin and he skipped on the bathroom tiles, heading to the shower.

"Yay!"
