After long, deep and dark silence during way back home from the banquet, Mark suddenly grimly stated that he has to go shopping today because he wouldn't have time for it tomorrow. I didn't penetrate. I took him where he wanted and I wasn't even going to protest. Lee looked like was going to strangle me for every unnecessary word I uttered, so I just obeyed without vocally responding to it.

Mark was putting into the basket things as strange as his mood. Cheesecake mass, fruits of the forest, jelly, strange vegetables, some meat. I've never seen him eating such products. Steven claims that he can even burn water in a pot, so I didn't think he could do anything with it in the kitchen as well. Mark's concert of disturbing and unusual behavior continued and I was starting to worry about how much longer it would last

"Can I ask you something?" I risked speaking. Mark tends to be depressed or aggressive when he argues with Donghyuck somehow. However, Donghyuck himself was in a good mood today, so I wasn't that sure if the difference of opinion between them resulted in such an atmosphere in the car.

"If you don't piss me off with this, you can." Mark sighed heavily, looking for a specific product between shelves with a thousand jars.

"Do you like Haechan?" I asked, watching him closely. Not a single muscle in his face twitched as he read the composition of tomato paste. Recently, I decided to take a closer look at the dynamics of the relationship between the basement triangle. At times they acted so weird that I was starting to wonder if it was a matter of a twisted sense of humor or if they were taking turns having orgies.

"Not really," he said flatly, putting the jar back in its place. Apparently it wasn't this one. "Like istn't the right word," he added after a moment's thought, reaching for the next paste. "You ask about Donghyuck a lot. Do you lech after him? " he asked like he didn't give a shit what I would answer anyway. He probably really didn't.

"No, of course not," but I denied it right away. Haechan was handsome, charming and so on but there were too many secrets and behaviors to discourage me from perceiving him in a romantic way. When it comes to friendships, he also puts up tight walls, behind which he wouldn't let anyone in, although he created the appearance of great openness. Haechan is a logic puzzle for advanced players and I don't like puzzles. Life itself is already complicated enough to additionally look for further difficulties. "I just always thought you guys got on well," I said truthfully.

"We should," Mark remarked, rubbing the back of hand over eyes. I think he was terribly tired. It was indeed a heated debate and a tumultuous meeting. "We work together, our mothers are friends and so do we..." he muttered, nodding towards the exit of the alley. I began to obediently push the cart, though I didn't quite know why I always ministered to him this way.

"He said so too. That's why I asked," explained not quite truthfully. Given the opportunity, I just put it all on Haechan. Mark was letting him off many things anyway, so brunet was less at risk in case of aggression than I was.

"What did he tell you?" Mark continued the subject but without any apparent interest.

"That he thinks of liking you as a business duty. That it's easier to work like this," I muttered, wondering more and more often whether I should switch to this mode as well. To the mode of flattening the relationship and minimizing its importance only to a professional issue. Feelings disturbed me a lot in ordinary, everyday contact. I didn't focus like I wanted to.
