POV: BAYLIN GRIGGS

I woke up feeling restless, despite how comfortable this bed was. I didn't seem to get much sleep last night as my head was on overdrive, thinking of all this shit going on.

I felt very home sick the second my head hit the pillow, missing the feeling of Harry sleeping beside me. It was so weird to not hear his cute little snores, I had gotten so used to his warmth. I was also thinking a lot about what Niall said, that Harry 'hadn't told me' something yet— which only gave me more to worry about.

The room was very dark, but I could see light beaming through the cracks of the shut curtain. I had shut the blinds before I went to sleep at night, making sure little to no light was coming through. The sun had already come up, but I had no clue what time it was. There didn't seem to be a clock in here that I knew of.

I sat up, stretching out my limbs and groaning away my drowsiness, lazily getting out of bed to open the blinds so that light would come in. I swished open the double layered curtains, the bright sun rays showered my room in light. As I let my eyes adjust, I gleam out my window to the beautiful backyard.

To my surprise, Niall was out there. He was sitting on the grass and petting a large dog. The dog was very big and had gorgeous fluffy fur, looked to be husky but it was entirely white.

I don't question it too much, my head still hazy from just waking up. So I quickly dress myself into regular clothes, slipping on a pair of comfortable leggings and one of Harry's plain white shirts that somehow ended up in my bag.

By the time I got downstairs, Niall was already coming back inside and shutting the double glass doors. He turns around once they click close, noticing me there.

"Finally you're up." He says to me, walking past me and turning into the kitchen. "Good morning."

"Good morning." I greet him back, rubbing my eyes to rid my tiredness. "What time is it?"

Niall pulls his phone out of his pocket, checking the time then placing it on the counter. "Ten thirty."

I slept in much longer than I had intended to, I didn't want to give Jim the wrong impression on my first full day here, but I suppose it's fine.

I nod my head, walking up to the kitchen island and leaning against it. "Who's dog was that?"

"Hm?" Niall hums, looking as if he didn't know what I was talking about, only to realize in a second. "Oh that's the neighbors dog, Bunny."

I smile at the name, finding it adorable. "How'd he get in the backyard?"

"She." He corrects me. "And she hops over the fence when I'm out there to come say hi to me."

There was a wooden fence surrounding the perimeter of the backyard, which looked to be about six feet tall. Sounds like an obscure amount of height for a dog to jump.

My eyes go wide. "That fence is huge, she can jump that?"

"That's why I call her Bunny, I don't know her real name." Niall laughs at my expression. "I had the same reaction the first time I saw her do it, thought she was coming to rip my head off."

I chuckle right when Niall's phone beeps again.

"Your phone." I say in realization, not even giving a second thought to it before now. "Aren't I supposed to get mine too?"

"Oh shit right, I forgot sorry." Niall points to the corner of the room, a small table with my phone on it. "Jim told me to give it to you since you weren't awake when he left. And it was dead so I plugged it in."
