Nathan.

London.

"We are already in our second year, how come Nathan Sanford hasn't made friends yet?" I could overhear the students talking about me here in the cafeteria.

"We went to the same elementary school, ever since, the Sanfords like to keep to themselves." The other student said. He was correct though, ever since we moved here to London, we only stayed with each other. They also had friends, except for me. I only stuck with Gabe most of the time. Gabe had a lot of friends, but he still stayed with me, maybe considering that I don't have anyone to be with except for him.

I just ignored what I heard. I don't care about what they think about me. The fewer the people in my life, the fewer I would lose.

Not until 9th grade.

"Nathan, could you watch the library for me?"

I was sitting peacefully but the librarian had errands to run, she was supposed to close the library but since I was there, she just told me to become the sub-librarian so she wouldn't have to close the library and I have to look for another place to read.

I just nodded and sat at the swivel chair on the front desk, luckily there are no students so I wouldn't have to guard them with library regulations.

I thought I had no responsibility to do until a group of friends went inside, laughing so loudly while entering their student ids at the library entrance.

I was about to ask them to quiet down but they noticed me staring at them coldly so they quietly looked for a table and sat down there.

Frustratingly, they literally sat down there, on the table.

"These rascals..." I can't believe those words came out of my mouth. Oh, the disadvantages of spending too much time with Gabe.

I don't know why I was so annoyed, I just don't want to be interrupted while reading.  And they were so mannerless, this is a finishing school for heaven's sake.

"Chairs are to be sat on, tables are for your stuff," They started whispering to one another and slowly sat down on the chairs.

Geez, these kids.

A few minutes passed and they started to be noisy again, they were so loud, particularly the black-haired one, "AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" she laughed like that, it was so annoying.

I was glaring at them cause I can't understand what the hell I was reading because of their noise.

The black-haired girl stood and went near me, I remembered her, she was the daughter of one of dad's friends, we haven't talked to each other but I saw her at one of dad's business parties.

"Hello, since me and my friends are the only ones here, would you mind if we play the guitar? and, sing?"
