CHAPTER 47: Ex-Bestfriend

GABE'S POINT OF VIEW.

British Accent.

"Good Game, Mr. Sanford."

The game just ended and the coaches and staff were all congratulating me for my win.

"Thank you for having me today, Sir." I bowed to the judges.

We will be having a victory party later evening, and I'm still thinking if I should come or not. I have other plans for tonight.

"What do you mean you couldn't come? Bro, the party is for you." Hade said, pushing me to attend the party.

"I can't. I told you, I have other plans." I'm at the lobby now fixing my things.

"What other plans? Are you meeting with someone?" He asked.

"You're really that curious?" I smirked. I thought he would stop asking but he continued interviewing me anyway. This guy really.

"Of course! I mean what could be more important now than being with me? your friend!" He's starting to be dramatic, psh. I hit his head.

"Alis na ko."

I rode my black luxury car and drove home to get the food I cooked earlier for dinner.

As soon as I went out of the house, carrying the paper bags, Nathan arrived.

"It's 7 in the evening, where are you going?" He asked. I just walked pass him, totally ignoring his presence, but then I had to ask him something, so I just replied.

"I'm gonna eat out. Umm, w-what--, nevermind. Ugh, yea." Geez what am I even saying?

"What?" He asked, thinking about my sudden stutter.

"Nothing. Have a good night." I went inside my car, but before I left I saw the shock on Nathan's face because I greeted him a good night. I'm not usually this polite.

I called her just in case she didn't get my message.

"Hi this is Maddison! I'm out so just leave a message!" The voice message said. So she's not home? Maybe she's on her way.

As soon as I arrived in the spot where I asked her to meet me, I already set things up. I made sure the lights were all set, the food, I even brought the vinyl record with me so we could have jazz music.

While waiting I practiced my violin which I wanted to show her. I'm so nervous I've been practicing for 6 months, just for tonight.

Cause tonight, I'll will tell her what I feel.

Hoping that she feels the same way.

I looked at the whole set up for the last time, to make sure it's perfect.

The Christmas Lights I wrapped around the poles and trees, also the small table I put in the center with the food I prepared, the vinyl record and also the wonderful view, city lights.

I also brought yellow daisies for her cause she loved them so much. I went to the place where we used to play when we were kids, the flower garden and I gathered the daisies we grew out together, they are fully bloomed now.

I didn't ask help from my brothers cause I already know their reaction so I just did it all by myself.

Everything was already perfect. I'm nervous but I did some breathing exercises just to make me calm.

I held the daisies in my arms, standing by the gate, waiting for her to come.

I've prepared for this conffession for a long time. Tonight, I'll be conffessing to my unrequited love and my bestfriend.
