Mirriella pov

"You're fucking welcome by the way." I said as I rubbed my wrist to relieve the red mark that will undoubtedly form.

"For what?"

"Can you be anymore arrogant? I just saved you thousands of dollars, a small thank you would be nice. Asshole." I mumbled the last part under my breath, but apparently he heard me, considering that I was now held up against the wall by my throat.

"You know, you shouldn't bite the hands that feed you, little girl." He whispered in my ear.

"I can bite your hands all I want. Correctional behaviour can teach you to go without a lot of things sweethea-"

My words were cut off by his grip getting tighter around my throat. I coughed slightly due to the lack of air, and my hands moved to his to try and pry it off.

"Get off of me you psychopath." I strained at him, still trying to get out of his grip.

"Are you scared of me?" He asked as his grip remained firm against my throat.

"I have no reason to be scared of you." I strained out with the minimal oxygen I had left in my lungs.

"Really? You should be." He said as he dropped his grip completely.

I dropped to the ground coughing and gasping as air had finally managed to make its way into my body. I rubbed at my throat to relieve some of the pain, but the warmth that resided in my skin told me that there was already going to be a mark forming.

"You're pathetic." He muttered to me.

"I'm pathetic? What have I done for you to make that conclusion? If anything you're the pathetic one. I can't physically fight back with you for the simple fact that if I breathe in your direction the wrong way I'll have twenty guns loaded and cocked, aimed right for my skull." I argued as I had managed to stand up.

"You should be grateful for everything that I've done for you." He said, completely ignoring my statement.

"Grateful? What is there to be grateful for?" I shouted at him.

"You have a home here, you have a job. You have protection and security. You have friends."

"I had all of that. But you had to go and take it all away. What good is staying in a million dollar mansion if I can't speak to the one family member I had left? What good is having a well paying job if I have nothing to use the money for? What good is all of it if I have no freedom? You took it all away Jaden. And what, you expect me to be grateful? Jesus." I shouted as I walked to the door of the office.

"Where are you going?" He shouted as he slammed his fist down on the desk.

"Don't worry, I'm sure your guards will catch me and drug me up, yet again, before I even reach the first gate." I dismissed as I walked out.

Just as I had suspected, I didn't even manage to make down all the steps before I was tackled to the ground. They stood me up and held my arms behind my back. They turned us and stood in front of me was Jaden with a smug smile on his face and a rag in his hands.

"And I'm the pathetic one? You can't even come after me yourself." I spat as he walked over with the rag.

"Good night sweetheart." He said to me as he held the rag to my face.

I didn't breathe in at first, which he didn't like. He punched my stomach hard causing me to gasp heavily. It wasn't long until my head started to feel woozy and I was under.

"Take her upstairs, and put her down gently." I said to my workers as they walked in carrying Mirriella's body.

They all nodded and dispersed to do their job. I turned my head to see Remi sat there with an unamused look on her face.

She's obviously not happy about what she saw.

I walked into the room she was sat in and sat down on the sofa. I picked up the controller and put on a random film.

Or I was going to put a random film before Remi snatched the remote from my hand and threw it against the wall. I groaned, and took every ounce of energy I had not to slap her for it.

"Is there something you need Remi?" I gritted as I looked over at her.

"Actually, there is. You can't keep drugging her every time she pushes you." She said as she moved her body to face me, sitting crisscross on the sofa.

"She called me pathetic, she needs to know she can't just get away with that." I dismissed as I stood up and walked to the kitchen.

"You are pathetic. You can't admit your feelings for he-"

"I don't have feelings for her." I denied.

"Yeah, okay. You do have feelings for her. Otherwise you would've let her be a submissive. You brought her here, took her into your room, and now you've given her a job to keep her here. But you're so pathetic that you can't admit your feelings, you feel the need to abuse that frustration and fear. Don't think I didn't see the purple marks forming on her wrist and neck." She argued.

I swallowed the water I was drinking and looked down. I never wanted to hurt her enough to cause marks that deep. Just enough to cause her fear. But I should've known that with a past like hers it wasn't going to cause much fear.

"What the fuck did you say about her family?" She asked. It seems Stefan can't keep his mouth shut.

"Have you ever noticed she won't wear anything that reveals her chest? Despite the fact of her being adamant on not wearing any form of bra-"

"Which is fine because that doesn't matter." She cut me off.

"I know that, that's not where I was going with that. Anyway, despite the fact of her never wearing a bra, she never wear anything open chested, she always has fabric covering herself." I explained.

"Yeah, and? Still doesn't tell me what you did." She pointed out.

"She explained the reason and I was a dick, what do you expect?" I shrugged as I walked out of the kitchen. I heard her scoff, but she didn't follow me.
