Mirriella pov
"You guys have an hour, I'll meet you here." He said as he tried to walk away.
"No." Remi said as she put her hands on her hips. He turned to her with an eyebrow raised.
"No?" He asked in disbelief.
"You heard me. Come on." She said as she grabbed his hand and mine and walked into a shop.
"No. She's not wearing that." Jaden protested as she held up a skirt that was really cute.
"If I remember correctly, I don't think I ever asked for your input. You're just here for what's in your pocket, nothing else." Remi said as she put it in the basket she had accumulated for the clothes.
I wasn't giving an input, only when she showed shirts I wouldn't wear because of how revealing they were. Jaden often tried to discourage the revealing skirts and shorts, but Remi didn't listen. I actually love this woman.
"Remi." He said sternly.
"Yes Jaden?" She asked in the same tone.
"Stop it. She needs work clothes too, not slut clothes." He pointed out.
"Oh don't worry, I have some clothes for her for work. Calm your tits." She said as she walked to the checkout. She had the worker scan everything through and bag it. She then turned to Jaden.
"What?" He asked.
"Put your fucking card through." She said. He grumbled under his breath and pointed his finger right in her face.
"You're lucky that you're screwing Stefan, you're on a thin line and the winds are picking up." He threatened as he put his card into the reader.
"Fuck off with your euphemisms and pay the money." She said as she handed him the bags. He rolled his eyes and took them anyway.
"Are you done now?" He asked as he followed us out.
"No." She said as she walked over to Victoria Secret.
"Why the fuck do we need to go in here?" He asked as he followed us through.
"Well you can't expect her to keep borrowing underwear from me can you? Don't you think she'd want some of her own?" She asked.
I don't really know what happened from then on. I was too busy trying to stop the harsh ringing in my ears. Something that's been there since the crash. I was so focused on getting the ringing to stop, I didn't realise that both Jaden and Remi were shouting at me to get my attention until I felt someone lightly slap my cheek. I knew instantly it was Remi because Jaden wouldn't have hit me that lightly if he did hit me at all.
"S-sorry. What's up?" I asked as I blinked a couple times. When I saw their faces, Jaden had a look of disbelief and annoyance across his face, whereas Remi looked concerned and confused.
"You okay?" She asked as Jaden rolled his eyes.
"She's fine Remi. Now can we go, or is there anything else you need to get?" He asked impatiently.
"There is, but not here. You'll have to stop by a drug store on the way back." She explained as we followed him back to the car.
"What do you need there?" He whined as he started up the car.
"Stuff." She said ominously.
"What stuff?" He asked as he drove out of the parking lot.
"You'll see." She said as he groaned.
Meanwhile in the back I was freaking out, while trying not to freak out. My mind keeps flashing images of that night right in front of my eyes. My reality keeps slipping away from me as I bring my knees to my chest. I feel my eyes gloss over, but I wouldn't let them fall. I dug my fingers into the bottom of my thighs to concentrate my thoughts away from the fact that I'm in a car again.
I feel the car come to a stop and I sigh out of relief. As soon as he turns the engine off, I get out as fast as I could. I sit on the ground and try to calm my nerves. Jaden gets out of the driver side and looks at me weirdly.
"What's up with you? And why are you sat on the fucking floor?" He asked in a harsh tone as he shut his door.
"Uh- my, my leg went numb. Yes, my leg went numb and I fell when I stood on it. Yes, that's exactly what happened." I rushed as he raised an eyebrow at me.
He doesn't look like he believes me, but he ultimately doesn't care enough to push it further as he just walks away. I sighed in relief and stood up, making sure to limp just a little to reinforce my lie to Jaden.
"Hurry up. Now will you tell me what you need in here?" He asked as he followed Remi into the store.
"Take a wild fucking guess smartass." She said in annoyance as she walked all the way over to the feminine hygiene area.
"Oh for fuck sake. I don't want that shit on my card." He whined as she started putting packages of pads and tampons into his hands which he then put in the cart.
"Should have thought about that before you put a hole in my card." She said simply. "What sizes do you use?" She asked me as Jaden's eyebrows furrowed.
"There are different sizes? For what?" He asked, shocked.
"For the heaviness of someone's flow." Remi said as he looked disgusted. She rolled her eyes at him and turned to me, waiting for my answer.
"Oh, uh normal." I said barely above a whisper. She nodded and turned back to shelf, getting a few normal size boxes of pads and tampons.
She handed them to Jaden who just dropped them in the cart. When she turned back, Jaden had a very unamused look on his face.
"Are we done now?" He asked in a bored tone.
"Yes, we are done now. Unless there is anything else you need?" She turned to me.
I thought about it. My anti depressants. But I wasn't just going to blurt that out. I'll just live without them. I looked up and shook my head. Remi didn't look like she believed me, but she didn't have any time to question me further as Jaden decided he was leaving wether there was anything else or not.
