Mirriella pov

"-wait, so what exactly is the problem here?" Jaden asked, cutting off Jacob from talking.

"We fucked up the percentages l, doing different than the ones you told us to, and now they're threatening to shoot if we don't give back their land." He rushed out, not really wanting any of us to hear it.

"You what?" Stefan and Jaden asked at the same time.

"So you're telling me that you didn't do the percentages I specifically told you, for this exact reason might I add. And now you're coming down here for what exactly? Help?" I questioned, leaning my elbows on the table and resting my head on the back of my hands as they interlocked.

"Pretty much." He mumbled out.

"Well you're not getting it." I shrugged.

"Woah, woah. Mirri, I don't think we should do that." Stefan argued.

"Why?" I challenged.

"Those are still our men. We can't leave them without help." He defended.

"I don't give a shit. If this prick didn't defy what logic dictated and ignoring Jaden's orders, their lives wouldn't be at such a risk. And newsflash Stefan, they work for a fucking mafia. Their lives are always at risk." I retaliated.

"Okay hothead. You can calm down." Jaden said as he placed his hand on my thigh firmly. "You can see why I'm reluctant to help you right?" He asked as he turned to Jacob.

"I do sir."

"You can take thirty men. A bunch just came back from up north, so leave squadron five alone. Try seven or eight." He instructed as he leant back in his seat.

"But Jaden, we're gonna need more than thirty men-"

"I don't really give a fuck what you need. You're lucky you're even getting thirty. Take them and get the fuck out of my meeting room." Jaden spat, getting fed up with him now.

"Yes sir, thank you." He nodded before leaving with his partner.

We watched as they walked out the door. I was picking my nails out of annoyance. Jaden threw his head back and ran his hands over his face. He rolled his chair away from the table and walked over to the window, sticking his hands in the pockets of his suit pants.

"What the fuck was that Mirri?" Stefan asked as he looked over at me.

"That bitch went against the orders given. He dug his own grave, so he should lie down in it and shut the fuck up about it. You shouldn't expect help if you put yourself in the compromising position." I shrugged, still picking my nails.

"No. I'd agree with you if it was him in his own problem, but there were innocent people in the mix. That's when you need to look beyond what he did." He argued.

"Look at who they work for. They're hardly fucking innocent." I scoffed.

"You don't know what you're talking about. You're just a little girl." He bit back.

I stood up and went to slap him for saying that, but Jaden sopped it.

"Mirri. Come here." He demanded before I could raise my hand.

I groaned but did it anyway, not wanting to make him more annoyed. I held my stare with Stefan for two seconds before I turned my head and made my way over to Jaden. He gripped my chin lightly and forced me to look at him.

"Calm the fuck down. I know you're tired, but drop the fucking attitude. It's done and over with now." He said softly as he looked down at me.

"Yeah, whatever. I'll be in the truck." I said as I walked away from him towards the door.

"You don't have the keys." He pointed out.

"Try again." I didn't turn around, I just held the keys in his view as I continued to walk. "You two shitheads have five minutes. If you're not there I'm driving off and you can make your own way back." I threatened as I shut the door behind me.

I walked down the stairs and sat in the truck. I left the music off and tried to think of the thing that is bothering me so much. I know that there's something that's making me feel this snappy, but I can't figure out what.

"Who the fuck shat in her cereal?"

"She's really tired and I'm pretty sure she's stressed for another reason." I answered as I turned back to him.

"And what's that then?" He asked as he stood up.

"It's her nieces birthday tomorrow and I don't think she's remembered it yet." I shrugged.

"Right then." He mumbled. "Let's go before she fucking rips our heads off." He said as he opened the door.

"I agree. But I do think it was a shitty thing for you to call her a little girl. That's just low." I defended as we made our way down the stairs.

"I know, I just wanted to piss her off. I'll apologise later." He admitted which made me laugh a little.

We made our way outside after I signed for a few packages that Kai had collected. We walked down to the truck and Stefan opened the door to let the dogs in before immediately trying to pull them back out.

"The fuck are you doing man?" I asked as I made my way down the steps after shutting the door.

"Yeah, you know how you said she was tired?"

"Yes." I trailed off.

"Come look." He said as he moved his head in the direction of himself.

I sighed and walked over. When I looked in, I saw Mirri laid across the two passenger seats with her hair wrapped around her finger. She had one arm wrapped across her body and rested her head on the other with her hand bent so she could play with her hair.

"You can drive just this once. Well put the dogs in the back." I said as I opened the second door.

"So you're willing to get your back seats full of fluff for your little fuck buddy but not for your best friend? Wow, I see how it is." He scoffed as he let the dogs climb in.

"No. I'm willing to get my back seats dirty for my girlfriend." I corrected as I climbed in the passenger seat and rested her head on my legs.

"Since fucking when?" He asked as he started the truck.

"Last night at the lake." I answered.

"Was this before or after you rearranged her insides?" He pressed again.

"It was after I did a bit of decorating, per say." I smirked as he cringed.

"I hate the fact that I know what that means." He mumbled which made me laugh.
