Mirriella pov
"Okay, look, I know you're angry for whatever reason you have, but you've gotta slow down. You're gonna hurt someone Jaden." I said as he ran through a second red light, almost causing life taking collisions.
"Shut the fuck-"
"Don't you dare even fucking finish that sentence. I understand that you're pissed, but don't even think for a fucking second that I'm gonna allow you to take that out on me. Get your shit together and slow the fuck down." I gritted as I interrupted him.
He was surprised by my tone, but nevertheless eased the pressure he put on the pedal. He was gripping the wheel so hard that his knuckles were turning white.
"What the fuck is going on Jaden?" I asked him.
"Guess who's decided to come out of hiding. And is heading to my house right now. Where the boy he's not supposed to know about is." He said bitterly as he looked over at me.
It took me a second to understand what he meant, but then it clicked.
"You're not joking are you?" I asked him.
"Nope. So I have to somehow get there before he does, and get Louie out of there." He explained as he pushed down on the pedal a little more.
"Can't you get Remi to take him away before either of us get there?" I asked.
"She can't go out the front way, she'll run the risk of driving straight into his car." He answered.
"Then have her go out the back way."
"How do you think I know he's on his way? His men are all over the bottom floor. Thank fucking god they know some form of boundaries and aren't allowed on the upstairs floors without his permission." He answered.
"Fuck sake." I groaned.
I tried thinking of other ways they can get Louie out. It's not going to look very if Jaden is running around like a madman when he gets there.
"You got anything?" He asked as he ran another red light.
"I do. But you're not going to like it." I admitted.
"Why?"
"Where does that door next to your bed lead?" I asked.
"It's a staircase that leads to a set of tunnels that runs under the house." His voice trailed off as he started talking to himself. "And one of them leads right to the guards gate at the bottom of the drive. It's how the guards get down and up so quickly. There's an entrance on the bottom floor." He exclaimed as he called Stefan on the radio system.
"Do you have something to deal with this?" He asked as the call connected.
"Tell Remi and Louie to go to the guards door, and take the tunnel to the bottom of the gate. Wait for his car to pull up and go through the gates and then drive off to the safe-house in the SUV I'll have parked down there." Jaden instructed.
"One problem." Stefan said.
"What?"
"The entrance to that tunnel, IS ON THE BOTTOM FUCKING FLOOR." He shouted the last part, him losing his nerve as well.
"FUCK SAKE." Jaden shouted as he hit the wheel.
He put himself on mute as he thought.
"Jaden."
"Jaden."
"Fucking listen to me." I shouted to get his attention.
"What?"
"It's just Remi and Louie. All they are doing is walking straight through. They won't touch anything, they won't move anything. It's your nephew and your best friends girlfriend-"
"No." He cut me off, already knowing where I was going with it.
"God fucking dammit Jaden. You don't have much of a choice. Do you? It's either they go through your room to get Louie away safely, or you risk raising the mafia's next leader in the form of your nephew." I pointed out.
He groaned and unmuted the call.
"Stefan. In my room, there's a door by my bed. The staircase behind it leads directly down to the tunnels. Tell Remi and Louie to take that staircase down." He said.
"Are you sure?" Stefan asked wearily.
"No, I'm not fucking sure. But I don't really have a choice. Just tell them to do it, and don't let them touch anything. My nephew is more important than my issues." He answered.
"Your trauma. But fine. I'll get them out and I'll have the SUV drive down and park a little bit away. I'll make them take the back exit so it doesn't look to suspicious." He recited.
"Great." Jaden mumbled as he hung up.
It didn't take us long to get back. The guards already had the gates open, so we didn't have to fuck around with all the precautions except the fingerprints.
As soon as we got in, he ran up the stairs, me following. He told me to go and change my clothes into something suitable for a mafia leader. Obviously I put my own edge to it.
I did a bit of touching up on my makeup, and put my hair half up. The bit the was in the band I wrapped around and put it in a bun. I put my glasses on and my dog tag necklace my dad gave to me.
"You know what? I was expecting a lot worse than this. You did good." He complimented as he almost scared the crap out of me.
"Not what I was expecting as soon as I opened the door. But thank you anyway." He laughed as he wrapped his arm around me and walked down the stairs with me.
He pulled me by my waist and kissed me, holding my cheeks as he did so. I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck as I sucked on his bottom lip.
"Jaden." A voice interrupted us. "How are you son?" It asked.
"You don't get to call me that anymore." He spat as he pulled away from the kiss, but kept his arm wrapped around me. He smirked as one hand went into his pocket. "Elijah."
