Mirriella pov
I woke up early the next day. Jaden's grip on me was strong and hard to get out of, but when I hit his side telling him I needed to pee he let me go, rolled over and fell back asleep, taking the covers with him leaving my naked body cold. Asshole.
I decided to go on a run before working out. I changed into a pair of leggings and a sports bra. I also put a sports shirt on over it, knowing Jaden would ape shit if he was awake when I got back. Which is unlikely considering it's four thirty, but I'm not willing to risk anything.
I put my phone in the pocket of my leggings and made my way down the stairs as quietly as possible. I had to sneak past the living room, for fear of waking the dogs and setting them off. When I successfully made it out the front door, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in and started my run.
By the time I had decided to make my way back, the sun had started to peak out from behind the buildings. I ended up taking the shirt off and tucking it into my leggings as I ran back.
When I got in, the house was still dead silent, which made me relieved because I could finish my workout in the gym in peace. I made my way there after grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. I took my phone and shirt out of my leggings and left them on the floor by the door as I made my way into the centre of the room.
I had a lot of pent up frustration. All three of us did. There's a deal we've been trying to get for ages, but the people we were dealing with still weren't budging with it at all. I grabbed a pair of gloves and started punching the bag that was hanging from the ceiling.
"Mirri, if you punch that bag anymore you'll rip it from the ceiling." A throaty laugh came from the door, making me jump.
"Fucking hell. Dickhead." I mumbled as I looked over to see him stood there.
He laughed and pushed off of the door frame. He walked over and wrapped his arms around me, despite my desperate attempts to stop him.
"No Jaden, I'm all sweaty." I whined as he just wrapped his arms around me tighter.
"I don't fucking care. You left me alone in the bed this morning. I was cold." He mumbled as I gave up fighting him and wrapped my arms around him.
"I needed to pee. You were the one that left me cold this morning when your ass rolled over taking the covers with you. I had no source of warmth because someone decided to throw my clothes everywhere." I shot back as I playfully jabbed his sides.
"You should've said. I would've happily warmed you up. And to think I missed watching all those little goosebump arise on your skin." He smirked as he squeezed my hips.
"I think you're forgetting the part where I needed to pee." I laughed.
"I think you're forgetting that a pee doesn't take three and a half hours." He replied as he looked down at his watch. It's only 8?!
"Yeah well, I knew I wouldn't fall back asleep so I came down here." I lied. He doesn't need to know the full truth.
"Well come on, Remi made breakfast." Breakfast? He started to walk away but turned back when I didn't follow. "Princess? Did you hear what I said?" He asked, waving his hand over my face.
"Huh, what?" I asked, zoning back in.
"Come on, there's breakfast waiting for us. Remi made it." He laughed slightly. I can't.
"Save me some. I'm not hungry right now and I need to shower anyway." I lied as I started to follow him out.
"Are you sure?" He asked, giving me a funny look.
"Yeah I'm sure. I'll eat some later." I nodded at him.
"Okay princess." He kissed my forehead before we parted ways, him making his way to the kitchen and me making my way up the stairs.
I sighed as I leant my head on the cold tiles. Things are going backwards and I can't stop it from happening. I can't take warm showers anymore without triggering an unwanted memory.
I'm getting married in two fucking weeks and I have this shit to deal with now as well. I groaned and pushed myself off the tiles. I washed my hair and body, shaving everything that needed it before sitting down in the water. I was starting to grow frustrated with the voices in my head again. Too many things were going on in my head and I don't know which one I need to focus on more.
I felt my anger grow larger and larger. I stood up and my impulse to punch the wall was strong. I needed to let some of it out. Before I could stop it, my hand collided with the wall. The impact caused the tile to shatter and the white to turn a wash of red as my skin broke. I rolled my eyes and was too lazy to sort it out now. I turned the water off and walked out, wrapping a towel around me.
I walked into the closet and apparently missed Jaden walking straight past me into the bathroom. I only know that because he came running back out and grabbing my hand.
"Ow, what are you doing?" I exclaimed as he put too much pressure on the broken skin.
"What did you do?" He asked as he looked at my fist.
"Nothing." I mumbled as I turned away so I could get dressed.
He waited for me to fully change, watching me intently in the mirror. He lightly grabbed my wrist and directed me down to the kitchen. He sat me on the counter and got out the first aid kit.
