Jaden pov
"Hi mommy." He said as he sat down next to the headstone. "It's been a long time since I seen you."
"Look, Jae Jae got me flowers to give to you." He smiled as he held up the roses. "I'll leave them here for you." He placed them on the headstone and brushed off a bit of moss that had formed.
I don't usually speak when I take him. I more often just let him speak and talk to her.
He takes the bears from my hands and places one next to the flowers, holding the other one close.
"We got matching bears mommy. I got a little brown one and I got you a white one because you loved white. We should've gotten one for Harper too." He said as he turned to me.
"We can bring Harper one next time. She can have a little purple one." I answered as I crouched down next to him.
"I wanted to meet Harper." He sighed as he looked up at me.
"I know you did. But somethings can't be controlled. You would've been a great big brother." I assured as I ruffled his hair.
"Can mommy even hear me?" He asked, looking up at the sky.
"Of course she can." I answered as I sat down. "Mommy is everywhere. She's looking over you now. She's up there." I said as I pointed to the sky. "She's in there." I pointed to his head. "She's in there." I pointed to his heart. "And she's always with you." I explained.
"Is she in there with nana?" He asked as he pointed to my chest.
"Mommy and nana will always be there." I answered.
My mom died at the hospital. After putting Soph in a body bag and taking her away, they put my mom in the ambulance. They took her to the hospital and she was doing fine for quite a while. They cleaned up her head and stitched up the wound, but she died in the early hours of the next morning due to the head trauma. It caused a leaking on her brain that they didn't spot during her CT scan.
"Do you think mommy knows about MiMi?" He asked.
"I'm sure mommy does know about Mirri." I shrugged.
"Do you think mommy likes MiMi?" He asked me again.
"Your mommy liked everyone. I'm sure she'd get along with Mirri very well." I answered.
It's true. Soph loved everyone she met, which is why my dad would never let her take over the mafia. She was the first born, so she was supposed to, girl or not. But because she was so nice to every person, she'd be a horrible mafia leader. So of course it had to be me.
That's how Louie was made. She went to a party once and put her trust in the wrong people. The guy didn't rape her, but he did force her to keep the child with no support from himself. Of course my mom and I supported her in every way she needed, but he did absolutely nothing to help her.
"When can I see mommy again?" He asked as we stood up after saying goodbye to Soph.
"We can come down again next week. We can bring Harper's teddy as well." I answered him.
"No. When can I see mommy again? When can I give her a hug again?" He asked me.
"Not for a very long time Louie. Mommy had to leave, but you have to stay until you're all grown up and have little babies of your own. But trust me, when you see her again, it will have been well worth the wait." I assured as we climbed back into the truck.
"Promise?"
"I promise."
I drove us home in a peaceful silence. He kept looking out the window and asking me questions on just random things. About halfway through the drive, he fell asleep. It didn't take me long to complete the drive and I was pulling up in the garage about twenty minutes later.
I decided it would be best not to wake him. I walked around to the other side of the car and I picked him up. I wrapped his arms around my neck and his legs around my waist as I carried him out from the garage. I needed to go to the kitchen and grab him out a water bottle to take up so I made a quick detour. I walked in the kitchen and there was Remi, Stefan and Mirri stood around the island.
"Awh, look at him. This is just adding onto the reasons I want kids." Remi said to Stefan.
"Good luck with that. With the amount of times he got kicked or hit in the balls when we were younger, I'd be surprised he can father children." I smirked as he glared at me.
"Same goes for you asshole." He said back which made me smirk harder.
"I'm not the one with a mistress wanting children. I don't need to father children, nor do I want to." I shrugged as I walked out of the room.
I was walking up the stairs when Louie woke up slightly. He lifted his head and looked around and saw he was being carried.
"Wee." He said in a tired voice, lifting his arms up and pretending he was on a ride, I chuckled at how cute he was being.
"Come on you, it's bed time." I said as I carried him into his room and set him down on the bed.
"Okay." He mumbled a she tried to get under the covers.
"No, you gotta change into your pyjamas first, you've been sat on the grass with these clothes." I stopped him as I grabbed out his pyjamas.
"Can you do it?" He whined, almost falling asleep where he was.
"Yes, I'll do it for you."
I quickly changed him out of his regular clothes and put his pyjamas on. I picked him up and laid him under the covers, tucking him in telling him Goodnight before turning off the light and shutting his door.
