Mirriella pov
Some people's superpower is drinking just enough to have a good time, but not too much so that they'd be hungover the next day. Mine is remembering exactly what I said or did, even if I was smashed out of my mind.
Yes, I remember everything I said to him yesterday. And quite frankly, I meant every fucking word of it. I didn't really need him knowing that, but he does now.
I groaned as I stood up. I pushed myself off the mattress and walked into the bathroom. My head felt like it was going to break through my skull at any minute. I brushed my teeth before taking an ibuprofen pill. I swallowed it and then went to get dressed.
I wore a short, pleated skirt that was plain black, and paired it with some fishnet tights. I put on a tight black top that was long sleeved and ended just above my belly button. I finished the look by adding a few chains onto my skirt. I pulled my hair back so it was off my face and put it up in a tight ponytail. I put on a little bit of makeup to make it look like I wasn't from the fucking walking dead, before putting my boots on and walking down stairs.
When I hit the bottom of the steps, I was not expecting to almost be taken out by a little child. He was running around screaming and laughing as Blaze chased him. He wasn't looking where he was going and fell. He hit his head on the corner of the doorframe, which was bound to have split it open. It wasn't long before the child in question started screaming in a bad way.
I walked over and picked him up, holding him on my hip and walking into the kitchen. I grabbed out the first aid kit Remi put in here and started to help him. First I started off with dabbing up the blood that was forming. He was playing with the chains of my skirt so he wasn't really too bothered when I put a tissue with a bit of rubbing alcohol on top of his head. I put some butterfly stitches across the wound and placed a bandage over the top of it so it wouldn't get infected.
"Hello." The boy said.
"Hi." I smiled.
"Who you?" He asked.
"I'm Miri. What's your name?" I asked him.
"I'm Louie. Do you know where my uncle is?" I had a feeling this was Jaden's nephew but you can never be too sure.
"Who's your uncle sweetheart?" I asked him.
"Jae Jae." He beamed happily.
"He's around here somewhere." I shrugged, not actually knowing where he was. "How old are you?"
"I am five years old." He said as he held up four fingers.
I laughed at how cute this kid was. He was wearing grey shorts with a deep blue shirt that had an animated dinosaur on it. We were just having little conversations until we were interrupted by Jaden's voice coursing through the house.
"Louie?" He kept calling out.
His voice was getting closer and closer. I turned my head the the entrance of the kitchen just in time to see his head pop around the corner.
"Oh, hi." He said when he saw me.
"Hello." I said to him.
"You can't keep running away like that Louie, you're gonna get lost." He said as he walked over and picked him up. "Woah, what happened to his head?" He asked when he saw the bandage.
"What do you think? He fell and hit it while playing with Blaze." I answered as I put the old wrappers in the bin.
"Okay." He shrugged before walking away taking Louie with him.
"Bye bye Mirri." He shouted as he waved, causing Jaden to wince as he basically shouted right down his ear.
Ha asshole.
"Bye Louie." I smiled as I waved back.
I decided I was going to do more painting, but it was too hot to do it inside. I got my paints and went outside. I sat right by the door, letting the dogs out for a run too. I decided I was just going to paint an image I had in my head.
It was an abstract perspective drawing. I was drawing it out, planning on having a golden wedding ring in the centre. On the outside of the ring, there was going to be warm and happy colours. However, on the inside of the ring, I was going to put cold and sad colours.
I've always hated the idea of marriage. If it was something that can be broken by a rip of a piece of paper, then it's obviously not very valuable. I also outlined a pair of hands closing around a glowing heart on the cold side.
It took me about four hours to almost complete and now I'm just sat on the floor, waiting for it to dry. I just need to add the final details and outline it, and then it will be fully finished.
It was finally finished drying. I picked up a much smaller paintbrush that I use to do fine detail. I slowly started to put in all the little details on it. At some point Louie had walked out here, undoubtedly against Jaden's knowledge, and was fascinated by the paints.
"Can I help?" He asked as he watched me paint.
Instead of saying no, I gave him his own little canvas and a brush the would fit his hand. I put a few splotches off extra colours that I didn't use onto the paint palette. I told him that if he painted something on there he would be helping me, and so he gladly started to paint with me.
"Yay, thank you." He cheered as he carefully dipped his brush into some of the colours.
For a five year old, he is surprisingly good at painting. He painted a sunset on his canvas and used a thinner tipped paintbrush to paint the outline of a tree. I had finished the final details and was now just waiting for it to fully dry. Once Louie had finished his painting, he stood up and placed it directly next to mine to dry.
I noticed how he made sure it was completely straight and parallel to mine with an equal gap between them. He came back and sat down, grabbing all the paintbrushes, dirty or clean and lining them up in size order with a fingers gap between each handle. He seemed so focused when he did it. He also took all of my paint bottles and lined them up in colour order.
