Jaden pov
"What the fuck?" I mumbled as I walked further into the room.
Her phone was smashed up, and wouldn't even turn on and there was shattered glass all over the floor. The bed was a mess and there were black stains on it from where she had been crying and her mascara ran.
"Hello?" Her voice answered as she picked up the phone.
"Remi, you know how a few months ago you said that Mirri had a bottle of pills?" I asked, thinking back to what she told me.
"Yeah, what about them? Did she finally tell you?" She asked, getting hopeful.
"No, she didn't. But what were they for? Like I need to know what they do for her." I answered.
"They're prescribed anti-depressants." She answered.
"Great. Thanks." I hung up before she had a chance to speak again.
I breathed out heavily and started thinking of what to do with Mirri. I was just kind of stood there in a trance in the middle of the room until the door opened. I turned my head in hopes it was Mirri so I could understand what the fuck happened, but they all shattered when Stefan popped his head round the door.
"Thank fuck. I didn't want to walk in on you fucking pounding into her or some shit." He laughed, not noticing the state of the room. "Wait, what the fuck happened in here? She on her period or something?" He asked, finally looking around.
"I don't fucking know. To both of those questions. I mean the first glass she threw at me out of anger when I left for the dinner earlier. The phone and the other glass I have absolutely no clue what happened there." I answered as I started to pick up some of the big pieces of glass and putting them in the trash.
"Okay, let's backtrack. What did you do earlier that entailed a glass being thrown at you?" He asked as he started picking up the pieces with me.
"I didn't do anything." I answered. He doesn't need to know.
"Please, you can't keep your mouth shut to save your life. I know you sure as hell didn't lay a hand on her, so you said something to her. What did you say?" He asked dumping the rest of the glass in the trash can.
"I just told her she needed to grow up. She told me to stick the company up my ass because I asked her why she wasn't going to come with the dinner. There were a few other little things but those aren't really important. She claimed she was tired and I told her she should still be coming to work. Big fucking whoop." I explained as I made the bed, even though there was no point in it and we'd be sleeping soon enough.
"Just out of curiosity, did you ever find out from Remi what kind of pills Mirri takes? Daily?" He asked, putting emphasis on the word 'daily'.
"Yes, I just had a conversation about it actually. She said they're anti-depressants. What has that got to do with anything?" I asked him.
"Oh my god." He mumbled. "You see, the anti-depressants she is supposed to be taking everyday, have not been taken for at least a month. What the fuck kind of effect do you think that's had on her? She currently doesn't have the this she relies on to keep herself from falling under. Whatever the fuck you said to her earlier just adds weight onto the bottom of her. She's fighting to stay afloat and as her boyfriend, you are not supposed to be the thing blocking her from the surface. No, you need to be the one reaching your hand in and pulling her out, but instead your pushing her further down." He ranted.
"Well how the fuck am I supposed to know? She doesn't fucking talk to me. The only way I found out is through Remi. Oh, and some friend you are eh? You knew all this time that she takes anti-depressants and didn't think to fucking tell me? Maybe Remi is the one round here who needs to learn to keep her mouth shut. Not me." I countered back to him.
"Help her fucking see that she can talk to you. Show her you'll be there to listen. Don't fucking tell her to grow up and actually ask her what the problem is. Confront her about why she didn't tell you about the pills. I mean you know what they're for now, might as well not sit around dragging your feet, waiting for her to tell you. Go and fucking find her, and talk to her." He said as he pointed to the door.
"Why do things have to be so fucking difficult?" I mumbled to myself as I walked past him.
"Because you're in love, Jaden. Things aren't supposed to be fucking easy when it comes to the people you love. Just go and find her and promise you'll make things better for her." He answered.
I didn't look back, nor did I acknowledge what he said, but I definitely listened and took in what he told me. I breathed out and walked away from the room, following the way I saw her walk. I doubt she'd still be here, but she's not stupid enough to walk around the streets of London at ten in the evening.
I saw a sign for the roof and went that way. It was a long shot that she'd actually still be here if she ever was, but it was still worth a try. I opened the door and was immediately hit with a gush of cold wind. I shivered and immediately regretted leaving my blazer in the room.
I walked further out and shut the door behind me. I looked around the roof and almost gave up hope until I saw her sat there. She was sat on the edge with her feet swinging. Her hair was blowing in the wind and she had a lazy smile on her face.
"Hey."
