Mirriella pov

"Yeah, no I know. I spoke to Cecil and Livvy again, and now I'm waiting for her bus to pull up." I explained as I leant against the railing.

"Well that's great princess. She'll want to see you I promise." He said down the line.

"If she doesn't, you have to buy me ice cream." I sassed.

"If you insist." He playfully sighed.

"How are your meetings going?" I asked, and laughed when I received a groan in response. "You sound like you're really enjoying yourself." I joked.

"I am bored out of my fucking mind. It pisses me off that I have to be there because they are so long and a complete waste of time. Like most of the problems I've had to sort could have easily been solved without me if these people actually shared half a brain cell." He ranted. "Are you actually kidding?" He asked to another person as he took the phone away from his ear.

"You good?" I laughed as his voice became louder again.

"No. I've got another meeting to go to." He said in a monotone voice.

"Well, have fun then." I laughed.

"Bye princess." He mumbled.

"Bye Jae." I said back before he hung up.

I put my phone in my pocket and sighed. I'm so glad he couldn't see my face because I was absolutely shitting myself. I really don't know how I'm going to tell him. I don't think I could cope if he freaked out on me because of this.

My thoughts were broken by the sound of the bus pulling up. I looked up and saw all the children flood off of it. I then saw Celia walk off with a few of her friends. She looked over at where I was stood. I knew it. She looked over and I saw her eyes light up a little. She held a stone face as she said goodbye to her friends and walked over to me.

"What do you want?" She asked, trying to hide a small smile.

"To say sorry to my favouritest niece in the whole wide world." I said in a funny voice as she rolled her eyes playfully.

"I'm your only niece in the whole wide world." She pointed out.

"That's why you're my favourite Celia." I answered, dragging out the 'a' in her name.

She laughed and wrapped her arms around me. I hugged her back and kissed her forehead as I did.

"Does this mean I'm forgiven now?" I asked into her hair.

"Yes, you're forgiven." She answered as she pulled away.

"Ya-"

"Only if you can promise that you aren't going to disappear again." She cut me off as she pointed her finger at me.

"I can promise you that. And I can also promise that I will try and come and see you every other week. I'm not going to promise it's every week because I know I can't do that, and I'm not going to promise that I'll be able to come every time. But what I can promise is that I'm going to try, and I promise that you will see me at least once a month. And I promise I will message you if I cannot make it."

"Please don't make promises you can't keep. I can't handle that again. I- I don't want you to sit there, giving me false hope and then destroying it when you don't turn up again." She stuttered out as tears started to form.

"No, no, no. Don't cry Cee, please don't cry. I know I've broken promises before, but I can assure you that these ones will NOT be broken. I know things are gonna be hard, and I know that I'm not always going to be here. But I am not going to just walk out of your life. I had everyone do that to me, and I refuse to do that to you. Okay? So believe me when I say I will see you again." I assured as I wiped the tears that fell.

"You pinky promise?" She sniffled, holding up her little finger.

"Of course I pinky promise." I smiled as I kissed my thumb after linking our pinkies, her doing the same. "Now come on, let's get you home to see your dad." I wrapped my arm around her and walked over to the other bus stop.

"Why are you here?" He asked as I followed Celia into the flat.

"Hello to you too Daniel." I laughed as I shut the door.

"I'm gonna go do my homework. Night Mirri, I'll see you when you message me. Night dad, and I'll see you later." She smiled as she took her bag and made her way down to the bedroom.

Daniel followed her down with a bowl of pasta. He stopped her in the doorway, handed her the bowl and kissed her forehead. He turned back around and walked back. He got out a bottle of water and threw one over to me.

"So, what do you want?" He asked as he took a sip.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked him.

"Go on then." He sighed as he sat down on the sofa.

"H-how did you react what Georgia told you she was pregnant?" I asked as I sat down opposite him.

"I left her. For the majority of the pregnancy. I turned up again about seven months later and regretted the decision I had made. She didn't want to see me, or want anything to do with me. But then when Celia was born, she dumped her on me. Left without a trace or a note. Just a little baby and a half used pack of diapers. Why do you ask?" He explained.

"Uh-"

"He got you pregnant didn't he?" He asked, talking about Jaden.

"Y-yeah." I sighed.

"And he kicked you out? Is that why you're here? Trying to get a place to stay?" He accused.

"No. I haven't told him yet, I only found out today." I defended quickly.

"How far along are you?"

"Almost three months now." I answered.

"So you were pregnant the last time you came down here then?" He clarified.

"Seems that way don't it." I agreed, trying not to cry.

"What's wrong?" He asked, putting his water on the table and moving closer to me.

"H-he's gonna kill me. He might literally kill me because of this." I answered as my lip trembled.

"He won't kill you. He's not gonna be happy about it, but he won't kill you over it." He assured. "Of course, you don't have to tell him. You can just get rid of it and he would be none the wiser." He offered.

"I'm not killing this baby without talking to him first." I answered.

"Fine then. But you should go and talk to him about it. There's no point in dragging your feet." He suggested.

"You're right. I'll see you soon Daniel." I said as I stood up and wiped my eyes.

"I'll see you later, little sister."

For the first time in a very long time, I had left a conversation with Daniel with a massive smile on my face.
