Chapter 81

Mirriella pov

"No boyfriend this time?" Benny asked as I got out of the car.

"No, he's swarmed with meetings all day so I decided to come down here again." I answered as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Well it's nice to see you again chica." He smiled as he pulled away from the hug.

"You too Benny. Listen, I've gotta go right now, but I'll definitely stay and talk to you before I go home. Okay?" I asked as I made my way over to the door.

"Don't worry beautiful, I'll talk to you later." He smiled as he kissed my cheek and allowed for me to walk off.

I just wanted this appointment over and done with. I wanted to find out what was wrong with me and quickly.

It didn't take long for the bus to pull up, and the trip into the main town was short. I got off at the stop closest to the doctors practice. I was about five minutes early but decided to go in anyway.

"Hi, I'm Mirriella Adams. I have an appointment here for twelve thirty? Sorry I'm a little early." I laughed nervously.

"Oh, don't worry sweetheart. Just take a seat over there and the doctor will call you when she's ready." She smiled at me as she pointed to the waiting area.

I sat down after thanking her and waited for the doctor come out. I was sat there for almost five minutes when the doctor came out and called me in. I smiled at her and stood up, walking in. I explained to her all of my symptoms and she made notes.

"Okay Mirriella. I need to ask you a question." She said as she put the clipboard down.

"Yes?"

"Is there any chance you could be pregnant?"

"There might be a possibility. I'm not entirely sure." I answered truthfully.

"Okay. This may be a bit personal, but can you tell me the first time you and your partner didn't use a condom in your encounter?" She asked as she read over the notes.

"Almost three months ago." I answered.

"And the last?" She asked again.

"Uh, I think four days ago? But before that almost two weeks ago." I answered.

"Okay sweetie. Can you just come over here with me? I want to give you a scan just to see if there is a baby." She smiled as she pointed to the bed behind her.

I got up and walked over. I sat down and laid back like she asked me to. She lifted my shirt and put the gel on my stomach. I felt her out the machine to my stomach and move it around.

"Okay." She said as she turned the machine off and wiped my stomach.

"There's a baby? Isn't there?" I asked her.

She looked at me and nodded. She printed out the picture of the scan and handed it to me. My head went fuzzy as my ears started to ring.

I can't have a baby. What's Jaden going to think? Oh god, I was supposed to take a morning after pill. Why didn't I take that fucking pill? He's going to hate me.

"Mirriella? Sweetheart, are you there?" She asked as she waved her hand over my face.

"Yes? Sorry, I spaced out." I smiled sheepishly.

"That's fine dear. Look, I know this seems scary, especially because you are so young, but just remember that it is still early, and you do still have time to opt with other choices if you so wish. I suggest going home, thinking it over and booking another appointment with me when you've made your decision." She smiled as she held my shoulder.

"O-okay. Thank you." I smiled as I stood up and rushed out.

There's no way I'm pregnant. I can't be. This is going to fuck up everything. Jaden specifically said to me he doesn't want to bring a child into the world while he is still in the mafia. He's actually going to kill me this time.

I decided I'd go and see Cecil and Livvy to take my mind off it. That also means I'll be closer to the bus stop that Celia will get off at.

I walked into the shop and didn't see Cecil on the till, but instead saw their grandson Myles. He always makes me feel really uncomfortable because he just blatantly stares at my tits.

I tried to avoid him as I went down the aisles in search for either Cecil or Livvy. My luck was on my side for once, when I turned the corner and saw them both there stacking the shelves. I smiled and walked over. I placed my bags on the floor next to them and helped stack the shelves.

"Such a kind one you are- oh my god. It's Mirriella." Livvy exclaimed as she saw me.

She dropped the can she was holding and wrapped me in a hug. I laughed slightly and hugged her back as I rested my head on hers. I pulled away from that hug, and was immediately pulled into another by Cecil.

"Welcome back dear." He smiled as he pulled away from the hug.

"Thanks, it's great to be back for a bit." I smiled as I continued to stack the shelves.

"Oh stop doing that. Come on, let's go upstairs and have some coffee." Livvy instructed as she swatted my hand away from the tins.

I laughed as they both pulled me up the stairs after telling Myles to watch the shop floor. We walked into the living area and sat down. Livvy went to pour some coffee, but I asked her if I could just have a water. She obliged and handed me a bottle of water.

"How have you been my dear? It's been ages since I last saw you." Livvy smiled as she sat down next to me.

"Yes I know, I'm sorry. Work is just been so busy. But I'm great thank you for asking." I smiled back as I took a sip of the water.
