Mirriella pov

"I like painting." He stated as he put the last paint bottle down.

"Do you?" I asked, pretending to be surprised for him.

"Yeah. It's very calming. Do you think uncle Jae will let me paint my room?" He asked.

His room?

"Are you staying here?" I asked him as he nodded and looked up at me.

"Yeah. Uncle Jae said that Maria is a useless whore and that I am staying with him from now on." He shrugged.

What about his mom?

"Of course your uncle would say that." I laughed as I playfully rolled my eyes.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" Jaden asked, scaring both me and Louie as we weren't expecting him to be stood there.

"Oh, it just means you have no filter when talking to adults, so why would you have one when talking to kids?" I said as I smiled at him sarcastically.

"Look what I painted." Louie gasped as he stood up and pointed to his painting.

"Did you paint that for him?" He asked as he turned to me.

"No. Of course not, I was doing my own painting. He painted that himself." I said as I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"That's really good Louie." He said as he bent down and picked it up, being careful not to touch the top so he doesn't smudge the paint.

"Can I paint my room with different people?" He asked as Jaden looked up at him.

"That depends on what you want painted in there. I'll have to see if I can get people to come and do it." Jaden said as he put the painting down.

Louie stopped the whole conversation until the painting was fixed. He carefully moved it back to its original position. He made sure it was perfectly straight and parallel to mine before standing back up and resuming the conversation.

"I want MiMi to do it."

I smiled lightly at that name. I remember my niece calling me that when she was younger. Now she calls me Mirri.

"Who the fuck is MiMi?"

"Her." He said as he pointed to me.

Jaden looked at me beyond his shoulder with a raised eyebrow.

"I thought your name was Mirriella." He stated.

"It is. But I hate it so I ask majority of people to call me Mirri. Some people will call me other things, like how he has just called me MiMi." I shrugged.

"Can I?" Louie asked, brining the conversation back to the topic he was talking about.

"You'll have to ask Mirri won't you?"

"Will you help me paint my room?" He asked me.

"Of course I will." I smiled at him.

"Thank you." He cheered as he ran over and wrapped his arms around me.

"You're welcome." I laughed slightly as his reaction. "Oh be careful." I said to Jaden, noticing he was about to sit down in some wet paint.

He nodded and carefully moved away from the area full of paint. He watched as Louie played with Beaux. Beaux had knocked Louie onto the floor which caused him to laugh and stand back up.

"You're needed tonight." Jaden said as he continued to watch the child.

"What for?" I asked him as he turned his head to me.

"We have some very important people coming to the work house. We're gonna play a few games. It'll start off with a game of dirty poker. That way they'll lose money to me, and then we'll be forced to play a game of Russian Roulette. We need a 'neutral' party to spin the barrel which is where you'll come in. They don't know you work for me and so won't know that you've rigged it so the gun won't fire on me." He said as my eyes widened.

"You want me to rig a game of Russian Roulette in your favour? That's a lot of fucking faith you're putting on me." I said as he nodded at me slowly.

"You're also going to be rigging the poker game. You'll give her a deal that's bad so by the end of the game, she'll have to fold. When things go well in our favour, you'll become a partner. You'll be an official shareholder of this company, but you will also become my partner." He explained.

"What about Stefan?" I asked as he laughed slightly.

"No. That's why you'll become a shareholder, you won't be business partner to me. You'll become my partner." He clarified.

"Like a relationship?" I asked.

"Sure. You can call it that." He said as his cheeks flushed a light shade of pink.

"Is someone blushing?" I teased as I nudged his shoulder.

"Fuck off." He mumbled as he stood up. "Come on Louie. You need to have a bath." He said, gaining the attention of the child who was struggling to breathe because of how much he was laughing.

"Okay." He said as he ran over.

He quickly halted his movements and walked back. He ran over again. He did the exact same thing. After the third time of running over, he started to get frustrated and upset.

"What are you doing?" Jaden asked.

"It didn't feel right." He answered as his eyes glossed over.

"Did Maria give you your medicine?" Jaden asked as he walked over, causing Louie to shake his head. "Come on, let's go inside." He held out his hand, but Louie didn't take it.

"It didn't feel right." He said in an angry voice.

"I know, but it's not going to feel right." Jaden argued.

"I'm not stopping until it feels right." He said as he tried to walk back and do the whole process again.

Jaden quickly grabbed him and picked him up. He started crying and trying to get out of his grip as Jaden just walked into the house. I grabbed a bottle of topcoat, making sure that Louie's was completely dry before pouring a bit on. I spread it evenly over both paintings before I picked them up and walked them inside, placing them on the kitchen island before walking back outside to pick up the mess.
