Chapter 14

I'm wasting my remaining energy in the bar with Jethro and Aljon when Pax chatted me.

"Brinne ano ba?! Nasaan ka? Hinihintay ka ni Mommy sa bahay. Hindi na ako natutuwa ha!" halatang inis siya. Fuck. I'm dead.

After some time she called me.

"Nasaan ka?" she really sounded pissed.

"I'm with my friends." i answered carefully.

"Sino mga kasama mo? Patingin." before i could answer she's already requesting a video call that i obliged to answer.

She roamed her eyes and confirmed i'm just having fun with my friends.

"Uwi ka na. Naghihintay si Mommy sayo sa bahay." she requested.

"Uwi ka na. Naghihintay ako sayo." balik ko sa sinabi nya.

"Uuwi ako agad pagtapos ng duty ko, Brienne." she said sweetly. Matutuwa na sana ako kaso napukaw atensyon ko sa lalakeng pinaghila sya ng upuan.

Jelay seated there like it's normally happened. Hindi ko rin makakalimutan ang muka ng lalakeng iyon.

That's the same guy I saw at the airport that staring us.

"Who's the guy beside you?"

"Ka-work ko." i laughed on what she said.

May ka-work bang parang jowa kung umasta?!

"Kawork? Haha" i said mocking her.

"Oo, Love." she insist. I remained quiet even though i'm in doubt.

"Uwi ka na, Love. Wag ka ng magpasaway. Nakakahiya kay Mommy." so i'm a disgrace now?

Tsaka anong ginagawa ni Mommy sa bahay? Para naman akong bata na kailangan ng bantay!

"Am i? I'm just having fun with my friends! Tsaka bakit mo pa kasi pinapunta sa bahay si Mommy? I'm not asking any substitute! All i want is you." i said annoyingly.

But she just smiled at me. As if i said something good to her ear.

"All i want is you too. Kaya nga nag-aalala ako sayo. Di naman kita hinihigpitan, ang sabi ko lang, umuwi ka na kasi gabi na rin at may naghihintay sayo sa bahay." i can't argue on her so i just stomp my feet.

"Fine! I'll go home now but you should stay away from your 'ka-work'" bilin ko na lang sa kanya. I don't believe they're just workmate.

"Okay, Love. Take care. I love you" i just nodded my head and ended the call.

Another days has passed. Nakakasama ko naman si Mommy Shie sa bahay but that's not enough. I'm still longing for my wife.

When i'm asleep, i always wanted to feel her embrace.

Hindi nya ba talaga kayang samahan ako? Even just this moment. I'm still grieving and i need someone to lean on.

"Brienne, naka-land na ako. Hindi mo ba ako susunduin?" she said to me with sarcasm.

"I'm having fun here, Pax. Just take a cab." di ko alam na ngayon ang land nya. Nakainom na ako kaya hindi ko na talaga sya masusundo.

"Saang club ka na naman ba?!" she's shouting on me. Alam ko naman may kasalanan ako. I'm being stubborn but hey! My soft heart can't take that kind of Pax.

"The Beech." she just sighed and ended the call.

I thought she's mad at me but after few minutes i saw her.
