Chapter 22

"Natulog ka ba Brienne?" she asked the moment she opened her eyes.

"No. I'm watching over you." i caress her face using my knuckles.

"Ha? B-Bakit?"

"Before my operation, you're the last person i saw but the next time i opened my eyes, you're gone." her eyes are full of guilt then she shifted her gaze.

"I don't want that to happen again, Pax. H-Hindi ko kailanman pipiliin ang wala ka sakin." i hug her tight while listening to her heartbeat.

She hug me back. Too much comfy that made me sleep.

Nagising ako sa katok sa pinto. I volunteered to open the door. I thought it was a food delivery but it's my father.

"Bakit di ka lumalabas ng kwarto mo? Maraming mga negosyante ang gusto kang makilala. Si Lucas ay hinahanap ka rin." i opened my door wide at nilingon si Jelay.

"I'm having a great time with my wife." i said smiling to him. Tiningnan nya si Jelay at muling binalik ang tingin sakin.

"Oh. But you need to get out here." mariing utos nito bago tumalikod.

I shrugged my shoulders and close the door.

I climb the bed and was about to kiss Pax when she slightly pushed me and stand up.

"Kailangan ko ng umalis, Brienne.." she checked herself in the mirror, she's just wearing a sando so she gets my hoodie jacket and wear it.

"Why you're in hurry? We can go out together." i picked up her bra then gave it to her.

"Salamat." she just said then hurridly went out my room. Hindi ko man lang siya naawat sa sobrang bilis.

I scratched my head and decided to take a bath. Hahapin ko na lang sya mamaya pagkatapos maligo.

                                                                   

After taking a bath and wear just a simple short and pullover shirt, i went out of my room. I looked for Pax but i only found, Aljon and Reign with Aries.

"Hey! Have you seen Pax?" bati ko sa kanila.

"Grabe naman yan Brienne! Kakalabas mo lang ng kwarto si Pax na hinahanap mo. Eh kung hindi ako nagkakamali kayong dalawa ang magkasama ng halos dalawang araw. Di ka naman tatagal sa kwarto kung hindi si Pax kasama mo." mahabang litanya nya.

"You know what? You're so talkative." i rolled my eyes and sat beside Reign then get Aries from her.

"Helu kootie.." i greeted Aries and brush my nose to his nose.

"You have lots of love bite, Brienne. Baka makita ng Daddy mo yan, mapagalitan ka." she even covered my neck using my hair.

"Why would he? I'm a married person. Asawa ko naman may gawa nyan." i said proudly. I even smirked at them.

"Landi mo! Hahaha" i just laughed on him and played with his son.

After an hour, i felt bored. I want to see Pax.

Nilapitan ko ang staff at tinanong ko ang kwarto ng asawa ko. He can't say no to me, so he gave me the unit number.

I was humming while heading to Pax room.
I made sure the unit number first before knock.

I softly knock three times "Pax, it's me."

Minutes has passed but no one answering me.

"I guess she doesn't come back yet. She went out almost an hour ago." an old lady said.
