Chapter 41

"Woah!! Bottoms up!" people cheering around me.

No, i'm not drinking. I'm just here at the club with my friends.

"Anong plano mo kung hindi ka iinom?" Jethro asked after he bottoms up his glass.

"Nothing." actually i don't have plans.

Maybe club is my running place. Nakasanayan ko na.

"Haha si Pax yan nuh?" Aljon asked

"Let's not talk about her." i said bitterly.

"Ha? Si Pax pa rin ba? Eh diba may chix ka na laging kasama?" Jethro asked confused

"Chix? Friend mo lang yun, right?" Angela interrupted.

"Yeah." I agreed lazily

"Oh? Akala ko siya na pinalit mo kay Pax?" Jethro insisting

"Si Brienne? Pagpapalit si Pax? Parang sinabi mong lumipad ang baboy!" Aljon said with exaggeration

"Why? Is that really impossible?"

"Ahm, yes Brienne." Angela answered with full of confidence.

"Tsk." i hissed. "If she can replace me, well i can do the same too!"

"Woah!! That's my friend!" Jethro cheered and even put his glass in the air for a toast.

I get my glass of juice and toast with him.

Angela chuckled while shaking her head in disbelief.
She's doubting me that i can do that, okay. Challenge accepted.

"Pero Brienne, hindi kami sanay na juice ang iniinom mo hahaha" Jethro said and they laughed in unison.

"Epekto ba yan ni Miss Architect sayo?" Jethro still teasing me, i just smiled.

But to answer his question, no.

                                                                      

After that night, i started to move on, for real. I enjoyed my wealth. A different country every night. Different exciting things to do. Live my life to the fullest!

And Gillian is with me most of the time. She's a good companion. Hindi boring and cool sa lahat ng bagay.

But we remained as friends. We didn't talk about our relationship.

I know, i already have feelings for her but i'm still scared to enter relationship again.

I'm just being good to her. Taking care of her, having a quality time together and even made a surprise for her birthday. I haven't done that to Pax.

Yah, I'm doing things i didn't do to Pax before because I'm scared to lost Gillian. Natatakot ako na pag-gising ko wala na rin siya sakin. That's why i'm doing my best. 

                                          
"Brienne, barkada outing sa Saturday. Bawal humindi!" Aljon called just to say that then dropped the call.

"What the---" he even let me utter a single word!

"Bakit? Ano yun?" Gillian asked. She's beside me. We're watching a football game.

"Aljon called just to say we have a squad outing."

"Oh? Edi, masaya yun! Okay nga yun eh. Makakabonding mo mga friends mo." she said bubbly.

"Yeah but i don't want to be a 5th wheel." i hissed. If only she's sti--- ah, nevermind.

"You want to come with me?"
