Two days passed. The rain had finally dissipated, allowing the sun to shine through the clouds. The forest, after having been attacked nonstop by constant rain showers, greeted its warm rays with outstretched arms. The air was filled with the sweet songs of the songbirds. Down on the forest floor, two red tailed hawks walked along, trying to get home.

"Where do you think we are?" Wendy, scrambling over a log. Actually, scratch that. She was trying to scramble over the log. However, she was still small despite being two months old now. Plus, the log was much bigger than her. Standing on top of it, Tiberius turned around and grabbed her by the neck gently. Setting her down beside him, he replied, "I don't know. But I think we're somewhere south. These woods don't look like the ones I've seen in northern New York State."

"You've been up north?!" Wendy exclaimed. Nodding his head, Tiberius jumped down from the log. Hopping down behind him, Wendy asked, "How far north?" Thinking for a moment while they walked along, the older hawk murmured, "Well, I know for a fact that I've been in Canada a few times when I went to see some friends of mine in Buffalo. It's very easy to cross over the border there."

"Wow..." Wendy mumbled, amazed. The farthest north she had ever been was at her old nest. She could see the skyscrapers of New York City from her tree. And her parents had picked a very tall tree. Wendy sighed softly. She missed her parents. Her head clouded up with bad memories. She quietly shook her head to get rid of them.

"Wendy, you alright back there?" Tiberius asked. He was peering over his shoulder, keeping an eye on her. The young hawk looked up. Nodding her head quietly, she mumbled, "Yeah, I'm okay." Narrowing his eyes, the older hawk muttered, "Alright..." Deep down, Tiberius knew she wasn't okay. She was trying to hide her emotions. He should know, he was an expert in that field. The young hawk behind him, not so much. She needed something to distract her from her thoughts. And he had an idea.

"Hey Wendy," Tiberius remarked, "You want some hunting lessons?"
