"HELP!" Wendy shrieked at the top of her lungs. The month old hawk had been trying to sleep when she had heard something moving around in the undergrowth surrounding her. A moment later, a wild boar had burst out of the bushes and attempted to ram her against the tree trunk. Luckily, she rolled out of the way and crawled into a tight space between two rocks. Now she was trapped and the boar was trying to get her out in the open.

Tears running down her face as she let out squeaks of sheer terror, Wendy squeezed her yellow eyes shut. She could feel the boar's hot breath on her face. Believing this was her last moments, she waited fearfully for death to arrive. Just then, she heard a high pitched squeal from the boar. Meanwhile, it seemed that it had moved away from her hiding spot. Frightened still, Wendy opened her eyes.

Screeching and hissing, the old red tailed hawk raked his talons continuously along the wild boar's back. The animal let out squeals of fury as it tried to whack the old hawk out of the air. However, it was always a second too late. Trembling all over, Wendy watched with wide eyes. Her heart pounding, she flinched when she witnessed the boar finally land a heavy blow on her companion. Fortunately, the other red tail got back on his feet and continued fighting. At last, covered in scratches and blood, the boar ran away in defeat.

Panting while his talons scraped the forest floor, Tiberius looked over at Wendy, who's heart lurched when she saw that he was coming over towards her...
