Finding an old abandoned fox burrow, the two red tailed hawks went inside it. Relieved to get out of the rain, Tiberius set Wendy down. She said nothing, tears running down her cheeks. She trembled from the cold. Laying on his side, Tiberius watched her for a few seconds before asking, "Wendy?"

"They're gone..." Wendy whimpered quietly, crying. She sadly recalled the last time she had seen her parents. It had been during a thunderstorm just like this when their tree had fallen. She had miraculously survived but her parents weren't so lucky. Her mother had been crushed under the tree and she could never find her father. Miserable, she had sat in the rain crying until some humans found her.

All of a sudden, Wendy felt something soft wrap around her shoulders. She discovered that it was Tiberius's wing as he gently pulled her close. "It's okay kid, I got ya," he whispered softly, trying to calm her down. He knew what it was like to be an orphan. He knew the pain she was currently going through. Whimpering, Wendy cried silently while Tiberius hugged her.

And it continued raining outside.
