Approximately three hours had passed. Glancing up at the sky, Tiberius noticed that the sun was starting to sink below the horizon. Sighing softly, the old hawk began searching for a spot to spend the night. Watching him, Wendy asked, "Aren't we heading home?"

"What's with you and the 'we' thing? There is no 'we' or 'us' or whatever else falls under that catergory! I'm heading home while you're just a stowaway! How bout ya go back to that bear?!" Tiberius hissed, not even looking over his shoulder at Wendy. His feathers bristled in agitation as he looked up at the sky once more. He could've sworn the heavens were mocking him right now with the idiotic child that refused to stop following him.

Head hanging low in sadness, Wendy quietly followed the older hawk. Every time she opened her mouth to say something, he would practically lash out with fierce words. Briefly glancing at his talons, she fearfully wondered what would happen if she ever said the wrong thing. She knew that he didn't want her around. The month old hawk could imagine the thousands of ways he wanted her to die. And truthfully, Wendy didn't want to be around him much thanks to his temper and harsh words, But she had nowhere else to go or anyone to run to.

Feeling depressed and lonely, Wendy continued to follow the older red tail through the forest while night crept silently over the land.
