For the next two days, the pair traveled on foot. Tiberius would rather fly since it was much quicker and his shoulder felt better. However, Wendy was still terrified of heights so they settled down for walking. They walked when the sun was up and they slept when night fell upon them. Or at least try to. It was kinda hard getting some sleep when you had a very inquisitive child with you.
"When will we get home?" Wendy asked quietly. She yawned sleepily while Tiberius looked around for a shelter. The sun was already gone. Sighing heavily, the old red tailed hawk muttered, "We'll get there when we get there. Now stay awake, we need to find shelter."
"My feet are tired and I'm hungry..." Wendy mumbled, yawning again. It was clear that she was probably gonna fall asleep standing. Turning around, Tiberius grabbed her by the neck and carried her. He knew youngsters got tired but he was not about to sleep out in the open. There were signs indicating that it was going to rain soon. They needed to find shelter and fast.
Luckily, they found one just in time.
