Rolling his eyes in irritation towards the younger red tailed hawk, Tiberius got ready to fly down. Seeing what he was doing, Wendy whimpered, "What about me? I can't fly and I'm afraid of heights."

"And how is that my problem?" Tiberius grumbled, lifting his head and glowering at Wendy with pure hatred. Shaking greatly under his gaze, Wendy stammered, "But... we should look after each other..." She looked up at the older hawk hopefully. However, the only reply she got was a vicious snarl. The month old hawk cowered in fear as the older hawk lowered his head and growled, "That's not going to happen in a million years."

"Why not?" Wendy dared to asked. Starting to wonder why he wasn't resorting to cannibalism right now, Tiberius snarled, "Let me think... hm... how bout it's my number one reason for hating you?"

"You hate me?"

"Oh for crying out loud, now you figure it out..."

"Why do you hate me?"

"Like I'm telling you. Now bye!"

"Wait, can't you tell me?"

"You really are as dumb as you look..."

"Where you going?"

"Home."

"Can I-"

"No."

"But I did-"

"Yes you did. Now goodbye, I hope I never see you again and may some predator find you delicious," Tiberius quickly finished the conversation before it could go on for much longer. Ignoring the sad expression written on Wendy's face, the old hawk spread his wings and flew down. He was deaf to Wendy's cries to come back. Landing on the ground, he looked around at his surroundings as he muttered, "Better travel a little on foot in case those humans are watching the skies with their weapons..." The old red tailed hawk took only one step forward when Wendy suddenly came plummeting towards the forest floor and landed squarely on his back.

"I did it! Wow that was a long ways down..." Wendy exclaimed. She seemed very pleased with herself. "I think you broke something..." Tiberius wheezed, flattened underneath her.
