"Are you sure this is a good place to sleep?" Wendy asked. She was looking around at the inside of the rotting log they had found. It wasn't the best but it would have to do for tonight, even if it meant the hawks were cramped in there. Huffing as he tried to get comfortable, Tiberius muttered, "Yeah, it's either sleep in this or outside in the rain."
It was a downpour outside.
"You know what? I love this log! It's amazing!" Wendy squeaked, casting aside her negative thoughts about the log. It still didn't help that it was rotting away to nothing and smelled badly. But the young hawk was trying to suck it up, like Tiberius had always told her. She looked up at him, noticing that he was gazing at the sky. Watching the rain clouds thoughtfully, he murmured, "We might have some thunderstorms."
"Thunderstorms?!" Wendy exclaimed, her eyes widening in fear. She was visibly shaking and that was causing the log to move. Looking over at her, Tiberius hissed quietly, "Stop shaking before the log starts rolling down the hill. There's nothing to be afraid of with thunderstorms."
"I don't like them though. They're scary."
"Great..."
