What are some major stress factors in a teenager's life? I can think of a few major stress factors for a teenager. Personally, for teenagers who are working, work is one of the biggest major stress factors. Work tends to tire and make that teenager think a lot and plan according to what work he/she has. Work tends to take up more time than school and friends combined. From past and current experience work is a very time-consuming yet necessary thing to survive. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, determination, perseverance, and patience to maintain a job.

For those without work school is another major stress factor. Even you are doing well in school and are on time or ahead in deadlines, it can still be a major stress factor. It takes hard work to maintain that status and to learn most new things in new school. Sometimes even school can be the cause of lack of sleep, but most of the time we get stressed with school because of our own foolishness. Sometimes school becomes the only priority in our life because of the focus to finish. This isn't necessarily bad, but it makes us neglect other more important things in life, like family and tend to stress ourselves over little things in school, like a simple mistake etc.

Without a doubt this is the biggest stress factor not just for teenagers, but everyone. The biggest stress factor is ourselves. You're probably asking why? Well, if you really think about it, you'll understand why. Who is the one doing the overthinking most of the time? Well, it's us, we cause our own stress most of time because we're the ones who overthink, we're the ones who think of all the negative outcomes most of time, and we're the ones who usually get our hopes up for nothing. We tend to cling a toxic relationship because we're the ones who don't want to let go, which is why we're the ones who cause our mountains most of the time. Sometimes there isn't a mountain in our path yet we're the ones who create our own mountain of problems.
