"Oh, you're going down!""That's incorrect."
"It is not!" Sora exclaimed, pointing his keyblade at Riku. "It was your idea to spar."
Kairi approached the two of them, a look of amusement on her face.
"Sora, it may have been his idea, but you have an advantage." She told him with a light smile.
Sora blinked in response. "I do?"
Kairi rolled her eyes, and whispered something in his ear. Sora's eyes widened in realization.
Riku sighed, holding his weapon up near his face. "What did you tell him?"
"Nothing.." Kairi sat down near a small tree. "Now, fight!"
Sora jumped back as Riku swung, and he jumped into the air, yelling, "Deep Freeze!" And watched as Riku stopped fighting because of the cold.
Sora smiled. He had taught himself how to use magic to a certain extent, so it wouldn't hurt what he hit. It was something that even Donald couldn't do.
He took the opportunity and tried to hit Riku, but the latter striked him, in which Sora attempted to block, but it ended in him being knocked back onto the steps.
Sora suddenly got an idea. He yelled, "Force!" And before the extra gravity hit Riku, he yelled, "Drift!"
Riku stopped moving altogether, and a look of pain showed in his eyes.
Sora let the magic stop, and ran over to his friend. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, it just hurt a little." Riku winced as he tried to walk. "I'm okay though."
Sora frowned. "Don't lie to me. I will slap you until you say that you are hurt, don't make me."
Riku smiled a little. "Fine. You did hurt me, but it's nothing I can't handle."
"Oh really?" Sora asked. "Heal!" He shouted, and watched as Riku's body went from tense to relaxed.
"Yeah, Riku, you gotta stop lying. If something hurts you, you can tell us." Kairi stood with her arms crossed.
"Fine." Riku huffed. "I'm going to rest. Anyone wanna sit with me?"
Sora and Kairi exchanged a glance.
"We'll both do it." Kairi smiled.
And so, the three of them sat down on the steps in front of the accessory shop.
"Can you believe that Leon and the others live in Hollow Bastion?" Sora asked. "I didn't think anyone could live in such a down place like that."
"Well, maybe it was different before it fell to darkness." Kairi stared up at the stars. "Hollow Bastion is my home too."
"Really? Then why didn't you ask to stay there?" Riku asked breathlessly.
"You kidding? As if I'd leave my best friends." Kairi scoffed. "You two would get nowhere with your arguing. You need someone to bring you back down to earth."
More like back up in the clouds. Sora joked lightly to himself. But he still looked away, slightly flustered at Kairi's words.
After a long silence, Riku cleared his throat, but no one said anything.
"Why are you so quiet?" Kairi nudged Sora. "Did I say something?"
Sora shook his head. "Course not."
Kairi giggled. "Well I sure hope so. C'mon, tell me what's wrong."
Sora stood up, saying, "nah."
"We'll chase you." Riku threatened.
"I dare you!" Sora took off running, past the Accessory Shop, up, and into the Second District.
He kept running until he ran out of breath, eventually ending in the alleyway. He hid behind some boxes and sat down, breathing heavily.
Sure, Sora was tired, but he didn't mind.
At least they were able to have their random spouts.
