Day threeToday was the last straw.
Sora decided he had enough. He couldn't take it anymore.
The pain had numbed, sure, but so had he.
It had happened enough that he had gotten used to the pain.
Sora came to the conclusion that Riku and Kairi weren't even looking for him.
He was in the corner of the platform, the area that Luxord had referred to as the Altar of Naught, sitting in the very back.
His eyes were foggy and unfocused from the lack of sleep.
Yet, even though he knew that they might not be looking for him,
Sora remained hopeful. His connection to them made his heart stronger, and he could at least keep going.
His eyes darted up as he heard footsteps. He let out a scream as he saw both Marluxia and Larxene heading his way. His heart pace sped up.
What did they want with him now?
Marluxia's tone remained emotionless as he spoke.
"It seems that your friends have given up on you." He said. "However, they have been gathering hearts."
Hearts? Sora asked silently. "W-why do you want hearts?"
"None of your concern." Larxene said simply.
It scared Sora a little with how nice she was being.
"I have the right to know. They're my friends, and if you're trying to use them, I get a reason."
Marluxia glanced at him threateningly. "You make a solid argument, I'll give you that. But what you lack is the confidence to challenge us."
Sora narrowed his eyes. "I may lack confidence because I'm hurt, physically, mentally and emotionally, but you still don't know what I can do."
"Hm."
Sora took the opportunity, summoning his keyblade and blasting them with Zero Gravity and Gravity.
Larxene fell to the ground from the force pushing her both ways.
Marluxia stood there in silent pain.
"You will regret this later." Larxene growled. "I promise, you will."
Sora decided it was better to run. As he stood, the blood rushed to his legs, and he took a second to adjust.
He darted for the edge of the platform, and ran into something.
He toppled backwards, holding his head to get rid of the vertigo, and tried again.
He still failed.
Sora didn't understand. There was nothing there. He put his hand up to the edge, seeing a clear wall shimmer in and out of view.
There was a wall in his way.
With an angry grumble, Sora looked back at the platform.
His only option was to jump.
Sora tightened his grip on the Kingdom Key, and approached the edge.
He gave the air a test push, and it failed.
There was a wall there too.
He ran around the platform, keeping his hand on the wall. But there wasn't an opening.
He was still trapped.
With a slow and sad sigh, Sora slumped to the ground in his usual spot.
He may not be able to leave, but he could use the spell combination to weaken Marluxia and Larxene a bit, and slow their plans.
The connection got stronger, and he glanced down at his scars.
Sora knew that they were coming for him.
But he willed them to come faster.
He couldn't keep this up for long, he'd run out of energy to do magic eventually.
