Day 331

Roxas grabbed onto the hood of Ikrux's coat, stopping him in his tracks.

He chuckled softly. "Slow down, we barely started the mission."

"But this world is so interesting!" Ikrux objected. "And it feels familiar."

Roxas was confused.

And then it hit him.

Riku had gone to this world.

"That's weird."

"I wouldn't say so. My somebody was here, after all."

"What?" Roxas felt his panic start rising, and he eyed Ikrux intensely.

"I'm just guessing." Ikrux said. "Now let's go, the mission won't complete itself."

Roxas let the hood he was gripping onto fall, and he followed Ikrux through the world of sand.

Ikrux got away from him and ran a ways ahead, requiring Roxas to chase after him.

And what he saw made his hands cover his mouth in shock.

Ikrux was holding Iago.

But that wasn't it.

"Hey Roxas," Ikrux said as he started shaking the bird. "Is this some sort of wind-up toy?"

Roxas snickered and didn't respond. I'll give him about 20 minutes until he realizes that it isn't a toy.

Ikrux kept shaking Iago up and down regardless.

A few minutes went by, and Ikrux eventually stopped shaking Iago.

"So, can we-" Roxas cut himself off as he realized that, sure, Ikrux had stopped violently shaking a bird.

But he had started poking him instead.

"Roxas, the toy isn't doing anything." Ikrux said bluntly.

"Yeah, because it isn't a toy." Roxas mumbled under his breath.

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

Ikrux shrugged and started violently shaking Iago again.

Roxas sighed loudly, which made his bangs fly up and fall over his eyes.

He moved them out of his eyes and caught Ikrux staring at him.

With a chuckle, he asked, "something wrong?"

Ikrux's gaze averted back to Iago. "nothing." He mumbled.

"Sure."

Roxas watched Ikrux approach one of the sand walls, and then start smacking Iago into the wall over and over.

"Ikrux."

"Ikrux."

"Ikrux!"

Ikrux still didn't listen, he kept hitting Iago against the wall.

Iago flapped his wings, and Ikrux let out a scream.

Roxas snickered. "You didn't realize?"

"No? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Well I tried, but you were too concerned about smacking a bird into a wall!" He responded. "Plus, I thought it'd be more funny."

Ikrux muttered apologies to Iago and tossed him lightly in the air, but the small red bird only fell on the sand.
