As the summer vacation started, the Iwatobi Swim Team was hard at work to improve their times. Everyone was working hard except for a white haired girl who disappeared for the last few days.

"Where is she? She's suppose to be here for her own practice too..." Muttered an annoyed Gou dialing Naynas number again. "And she is still not answering my calls!" Yelled Gou frustrated.

"Maybe she had something important to take care of..." Said Makoto.

"Without telling anyone?"

"What if something happened?" Wondered Rei

"Don't say such things, Rei-chan." Said a worried Nagisa looking at their butterfly swimmer.

"I'm sure she is fine." Reassured Makoto smiling to the two only to turn to Gou when he heard the girl gasp.

The red head quickly answered her phone talking quickly into it only to slowly calm down.

"Oh...I see...When will you manage to get here then? Oh...Alright then. See you then." Said Gou hanging up. "It was Nayna. She had to go home, something about some family matters. She's gonna come back barely a few days before the regionals.

"That's a shame. We really could've used her help...I guess we'll have to look for someone else to coach us..." Said Makoto thinking.

When she returned, she found out that their former coach returned to help them get ready for the regionals.

"Nayna-chan, you're finally back!" Said Nagisa.

"Sorry, sorry. Had to go to Tokyo for some family matters." She said apologetically. "But don't worry about my form. I'm fine." She continued with a grin.

"One comes, another one goes. What is with you people?" Wondered the couch.

"Another...Rei didn't come?" She asked, noticing his absence.

"Apparently he ate some rotten strawberry ice cream." Said Makoto.

"Ice Cream can rot?" She asked confused.

"Anyway, there isn't much time until the regionals. You need to practice hard today too!" Said coach Sasabe.

"Right..."

The rest of their training was intense but went well. After it was over the boys were dragging their legs walking home.

"Well, this was refreshing." Said Nayna stretching.

"How can you still be so cheerful?" Wondered Makoto.

"Well, I did have some cheat days, haven't I? Got plenty of rest. Maybe you should too, over training can be pretty bad too, you know."

"Yeah, tell that to coach Sasabe..." Mumbled Makoto.

Before they knew it, the day of the regionals came.

They all met in front of the train station ready to go.

"I can't wait! I'm so fired up!" Said Nagisa excited. "Haru-chan is too. Since he found out that Rin entered the relay he was so pumped up."

"Is it now?" Said Nayna, surprised. "So he took the bait." Thought Nayna smirking.

Soon, their bus arrived and they were on their way.

They arrived in the evening there so they started to look for their hotel.

Once they found it, they each settled in their rooms. Makoto and Haru sharing a room, Rei and Nagisa another and Nayna got a room all for herself.
