32.Ice Cream feast

With the weekend approaching, Rin started to prepare things for his next day with Nayna. He went in town to buy a few things only for Gou to call him. While he was talking with his sister, he made his way to the register.

"Lucky lady." Chuckled the cashier as she was scanning his things.

Rin put his phone in his pocket before he raised his maroon eyes up to the girl before him a bit surprised by the sudden comment.

"Huh? Oh, no, that was my sister." he said a bit amused.

"Huh? You bought all this for your sister? -chuckle- She's still lucky to have such a caring brother. You sure know how to treat a girl right."

"Oh, those are for my girlfriend...No...Not...Not for my sister." He said a bit embarrassed by the confusion and the lady's remarks.

"So there is a lucky lady." Commented the girl again, but this time her smile seemed forced.

"Sure is..."

"Well, if it doesn't work out...I'm here from 8 to 4 everyday." She said with a wink giving him his change.

Rin looked at her with an awkward smile.

"yeah, well, things are going great. Good day." He said rushing out. "Man, what a nerve..." He muttered weirded out.

Forgetting about the encounter, he rushed back to campus to leave the stuff he bought before he headed out again, making his way towards the Iwatobi high school. Once there, he went to talk to Gou before he went up to the pool area to greet the guys too only to see them clean the pool.

"Man, you guys sure are busy today..." He commented amused.

"Not all of us are stuck up and have staff for it." Commented Haru coolly.

"Not my fault Samezuka is a powerhouse." He jabbed again with a smirk.

"I think you should get you feet back down from the clouds and make them work towards that brush over there." Said Haru turning to him annoyed, pointing to the brush by the fence.

"What's that, Haru? Is that jealousy speaking?" Grinned the redhead amused.

"No. I'm just helping you get a reality check."

"Man, Haru, you sure are in a bad mood today...No swimming yet or what?" Asked Rin turning up his sleeves before he took the brush and got down on the pool to help his friends clean off the pool walls.

Meanwhile, Nayna and Makoto came back with bags of supplies.

"Good work today, everyone. We bought ice cream." Said Makoto pulling up the bag with the cold treats.

"Thanks, Mako-chan!" Cheered Nagisa happily.

"I'm so sorry that you went through the trouble." Said Rei.

"This is actually Nayna-chan's treat." Said the taller male looking down at the girl beside him.

"Oh, Thank you, Nayna-chan." Said Nagisa looking at her.

"Don't worry about it. You deserve a little treat after all the work we put you through." She said with a soft smile.

"Where's Haru?" Asked Makoto looking for his best friend.

"Over there." Pointed Nagisa to the two guys scrubbing the pool.

"Haru- Huh? Rin's there, too?!" Said Makoto panicked.

"He arrived here earlier to talk to Gou-san about something." Stated Rei.

"Think we have enough ice cream?" Wondered Nagisa eyeing it the bag again.
