Later in the day, as Nagisa kept pestering Nayna to teach them more about their elements and how to use them, she reluctantly had to accept and started to teach them about their own elements and how to activated them and use them, but halfheartedly as she gazed at Rin with the corner of her eye.

The redhead stood more to the side as they talked. He didn't have what to learn from all that so he chose to not be in the way until, he finally just left for upstairs.

As their talk was closing to an end, Rain came in to announce that dinner is almost ready.

Nayna thanked her as she got up.

"Alright, guys. Let's leave it to this for now. It's late." She said with a sigh.

The others made their way towards the dining area, Nayna watched them go into the other room as they talked while she made her way to the stairs.

Upstairs, she was about to go to her room she shared with Rin, looking for him only to see the balcony door open. She made her way out to the balcony where she found Rin leaning on the railing looking at the setting sun.

"Rin?" She said, her voice barely above a whisper as she approached him, her hand reaching out to touch his arm.

Rin lazily turned his eyes to look at her without saying a word.

"Are you alright?" She asked worried.

"Great. Why do you ask?" He said in a bored tone.

"Rin." She breath. "It's fine-" She said only for him to cut her off.

"Tsk. It's not fine...You are this amazing person, so strong and smart...While I'm a washed up swimmer who doesn't even have an element. What will your people say? I'm not fit for you..." He mumbled, his voice slowly trembling.

"Rin, I'm not looking for that. I loved you before this and I'll still love you after. I don't care about this. Besides, maybe you're another tier of an element that I didn't find back yet."

"Yeah, sure, because I'm that special..." He said rolling his eyes at his own words before he straightened up, turning towards the door about to go inside.

"Rin, please..." She said, grabbing his hand, stopping him.

"I'm not in the mood to talk right now, Nayna..." He sighed.

"Fine..." She said before she left out a heavy sigh. "Dinner is ready."

"Not hungry..." He said quickly before he went inside and into their room.

Nayna watched the door close then moved her gaze down at the stairs. With a heavy sigh, she made her way to her room.

"Rin." She called out as she opened the door.

"Go eat, Nayna." Came his emotionless reply.

She spotted him sprawled on top of the bed, laying there motionless, one of his arms covering his eyes.

"Rin, please." She said approaching the bed.

She slowly laid down beside him, curling up against his body, her head resting on his chest, just above his heart.

Feeling her lean on him like that, didn't help his disposure.

"Why..." She heard him mumbled. "Why would you still want to be with me? I'm worthless..."

Hearing that, she gasped, in an instant, she turned to him, taking his arm away from his face.

"That's not true! Look around. I have a freaking army! I could have all the power in the world. Anything...But all this is a golden cage for me." She said quickly, stopping as her hand reached from his cheek into his hair. "You're my freedom. I didn't feel so...free and normal ever... That's all I want. That kind of freedom ...You..." She said softly, her voice barely above a whispered as she looked down at him, their two shades of red molding together into the darkness of the room.
