20. White Day

A month passed and it was time for the guys to return the favor, as tradition dictates. The Iwatobi high school was swarming with guys running around offering chocolates to the girls of their liking. The girls of the swim club were no exception. Both Nayna and Gou were packed with the gifts.

"I never thought I had so many admirers." Said Gou putting her bag of gifts in the pool house, as did Nayna.

"Talking about annoyances..." Grumbled Nayna putting hers too.

"You have way more than me, though." Giggles Gou noticing the bulky bags.

"Yey me..." She said rolling her eyes.

"Hey. Wanna go out for a bit? I mean, the guys are going for a run anyway. We could go shopping." Said Gou happily.

"Thanks, but I'd rather go run with them. I need to blow up some steam." She said with a sigh.

"Oh, alright..." Said Gou looking at the girl leaving.

Later, Nayna met with her teammates, all ready for their jog.

"Ready guys?" She asked stretching.

"Yeah!" Said Nagisa happily.

"But could you take us slower a bit? Last time I barely walked home after our run." Said Makoto.

"Fine, fine. Though you need it." She said amused.

The five of them started to run, making some small talk as they went.

As they changed their route a bit, they ended up passing by Samezuka.

"We should call Rin. Maybe he'd like to come run with us." Said Makoto looking at the academy.

Suddenly, a bunch of guys came their way, more specifically to Nayna, offering her flowers and chocolates, some of the boulder one actually asking her out.

While she was trying to get out of the circle of testosterone driven guys, her teammates actually called Rin who just came out of the school grounds, greeting them.

"Hey, guys, thanks for the call. I was about to go for a run anyway." He said with a smile looking at them, as in searching. "Huh? I thought you said Nayna was here too."

"Eh...She is..." Said Makoto a bit nervous pointing to the sea of guys buzzing around.

"Oh, boy..." Sighed Rin annoyed.

"Hm? I guess you wanted to return the favor?" Asked the taller male noticing the little red bag Rin was holding with his water bottle.

The redhead quickly tried to hide it, embarrassed.

"Hey, I'm doing it because she did it. It's only fair." He said annoyed.

"It's alright Rin, I get it." Said Makoto amused.

As finally Nayna managed to make the guys leave her be, she returned to the others growling.

"Are you alright?" Asked Makoto noticing her anger.

"Peachy." She growled again putting the damned chocolates into a bag again.

"This is getting annoying really fast."

"You sure got a lot of admirers, huh?" Said Rin amused.

Hearing his voice, she quickly turned to him surprised.

"Sorry, I didn't see you there."

"I just came." He said with a laugh, trying to control his nerves, thinking how to give her his gift without making her even more angry.
