23.Stormy Dive-Dash Part 2

Next week, they all got ready and went towards the event building where where they had a public tournament.

"I can't wait!" Cheered Nagisa happily.

"Yeah, we can finally swim indoors and we might actually attract some new members." Said Makoto.

In front of the building they saw the Samezuka team, Rin talking to them.

"Rin-chan!" Shouted Nagisa waving at him.

Once inside, the boys went to change while the rest went in to meet with coach Sasabe.

"Huh? It's starting already. Onii-chan and Haruka-senpai are racing." Said Gou rushing to watch.

The others found their place and sat to watch.

As the race started, Rin and Haru were on the lead from the start. The distance between them and the others growing with each stroke.

"Rin's pulling ahead." Observed Makoto.

"Don't give in, Haru-chan!" Shouted Nagisa.

"Those two..." Chuckled Nayna leaning on the rail.

"They're on a whole different level from the other swimmers." Noted Rei.

"Nice way of saying they show off." Said Nayna amused.

As the race ended everyone was shocked to see that the two finished at the exact same time.

As the tournament ended, the team met outside talking about it.

Upon seeing the Samezuka team walking by, the boys looked at each other nodding before Haru turned and walked after them.

"What have you four cooked this time?" Asked Nayna confused.

"You would have known if you didn't ditched us last few days." Said Nagisa making Nayna look at him a bit surprised and pouting.

Later that day, the Iwatobi team met at their club.

As Nayna arrived they were all bickering about something.

"What are you up to?" She asked confused.

"Nayna-chan, good, you're here. Here." Said Nagisa handing her a mascot head. "You're the stealthiest and most flexible of us. Hide in the corner and when Rin comes in put it on his head."

"Uh...What are you planning? Kidnap him and make him transfer to Iwatobi or what? If I'm thinking better... that's a method to get new members." She thought out loud.

"Just do it. We'll take care of the rest." Said the blonde mischievously.

"Don't worry. It's a surprise for Rin." Said Makoto looking down at her.

Soon they heard Rin shouting from outside.

"Quick, hide." Said Nagisa as he turn the light off, everyone hiding, Nayna going along with their plan for the hell of it.

As Rin opened the door and made a step inside, she jumped and put the mascot head on him soon after, the boys picked him up by his arms taking him to the pool area.

"Oi! Put me down, dammit!" He yelled kicking around.

Once in front of the pool they put him down and Haru took off the head, Rin standing before a pool covered with Sakura petals.

"When we were in grade school, you once said you wanted to swim in a pool of cherry blossoms." Said Haru.

"The idea was to open the pool early so we could attract new members." Said Makoto.

"Though it still resulted in zero new members." Said Rei disappointed

"But since we got to see our pool of Sakura as a result, we wanted to show it to you too." Said Makoto.

Rin looked at them wide eyed before the corners of his eyes filled with tears. With a choked gasp he turned away covering his face, Gou smiling sympathetically at her brother.

"Aww, I always knew you're the sensible type." Cooed Nayna.

"Shudup..." He mumbled drying his eyes.

"Now, Rin-san. Go for it." Said Rei.

"I guess I'll let you swim in it just this once." Said Haru.

"Well, I do want to swim in it, but it's still kind of cold." Said Rin.

"Onii-chan, take that stuff off!" Said Gou excited pulling out her camera as the others started to push Rin towards the pool against his protests only to start raining, everyone running for cover.
