Rin and Nayna walked side by side towards the little gulf where the lantern festival was taking place, their fingers interlaced as they talked.

"So...this is date number..." Said Nayna amused.

"Who knows. Lost count." Grinned Rin before his eyes fell on their interlocked fingers. "But I certainly can remember our first date. I was so nervous...and scared that I might screw up and you won't want to date me anymore." Laughed Rin. "To be honest...I kinda had a crush on you."

"I might've figured that one out..." She chuckled at his surprised look. "But I was scared too...That things will end up ugly... So I chose to not indulge..." She said looking away.

"Oh, and now how you indulge in me." He purred amused.

"Shut up..." Muttered Nayna looking away embarrassed.

Rin chuckled before he turned to a stand of lanterns.

"What do you say if we launch one of those too?" He asked getting her attention.

"Sure..."

"Which one do you want?" He asked looking over the designs on the papers.

"I don't know..."

"What about this? Looks nice." Said Rin pointing to one with cherry blossoms on it.

"You've always been a sucker for those." Chuckled Nayna.

"S-shut up. They're nice..." He muttered looking away with a pout.

"Fine. If you like those, let's get this one then." She said amused only to be surprised by Rin's sudden peck.

"Only if you like it too."

"I do."

After they got their lantern, they went towards the water.

"You know the tradition for this right?" Asked Rin looking at her with a smile.

"And what would that be?"

"Make a wish then light it." He grinned holding it out to her.

Nayna looked at the redhead surprised before she nodded, both closing their eyes for a moment before Nayna lit a small flame on the tip of her finger, lightning the wick of the lantern before they both leaned down, putting it on the water.

As they looked at it, slowly being surrounded by tens of others, they stood there, lost in the beauty of the little lights floating further and further into the vast of the ocean.

"Hey." Said Rin suddenly.

Nayna turned to him only for him to place his hands on both of her cheeks, pulling her into a soft, passionate kiss. A few moments later, they broke it, but still feeling the other's lips on their own, red eyes looking at parted lips.

"What did you wish for?" Asked Rin recovering from the aftermath of their kiss.

"I don't think it is to be told." She said amused poking his nose.

"Tsk. I tried." He said amused. "Hey...uhm... tomorrow I'm going home...and...uh..." He mumbled nervously, Nayna looking at him curious. "I'd like if you'd come and stay at our place and...meet my mom." He said rubbing the back of his head.

As on cue, the fireworks started, the two looking up at the colorful sky.

"I'd love to..." She replied, getting his attention again.

Rin turned to her surprised before he grinned, pulling her to him, interlocking their fingers again.

"Huh? Nayna-chan! Rin-chan! You're here too!" They heard from behind them.
