16.Holidays

With the holidays only a couple days away, Gou announced the team of a party at her house, to celebrate both her birthday and the holidays. In order to get ready and prepare everything, she asked Nayna to help her with everything, the white haired girl agreeing.

As they were walking towards her house with the groceries they bought, they made some small talk until they stopped at a red light, seeing on the other side of the intersection a familiar redhead.

"Ah! Look! It's Onii-chan! Onii-chan!" Yelled Gou to get his attention from his phone.

He looked up and around for the source of the yell until he saw the two girls. As the light to his crosswalk turned green, he walked to them.

"Onii-chan, you're coming home?"

"Yeah. I'll be home for the rest of the week." he said bored looking at them, noticing the bags they were carrying. "What are you two planning?"

"Onii-chan, don't tell me you forgot my birthday." Pouted Gou.

"Of course not. I guess you are having a party or something."

"Yeah. I invited Makoto-senpai, Haruka-senpai, Rei-kun and Nagisa-kun. I was going to call you too of course but I guess it's no need anymore." Giggled Gou looking up at her brother.

"I guess..." He mumbled, as the light turned green, Rin grabbed a bag from Gou and one from Nayna, helping them carry their stuff. "Let's go."

As they walked, they continued to talk.

"Oh, Nayna, your birthday is coming up too, right?" Asked Gou looking at the other girl, not noticing Rin's surprised look.

"Yeah, what's with it?"

"Don't you want it to celebrate it now? We could combine our parties. You can invite some of your friends from Tokyo. I bet you know some cute guys with nice muscles there." Giggled Gou ignoring Rin's annoyed grumble.

"I don't really celebrate my birthday, so don't worry about that." Said Nayna with a shrug.

"When is your birthday anyway?" Asked Rin looking at her curious.

"None of your business." Replied the white haired girl rolling her eyes.

"Someone got an attitude..." Muttered Rin annoyed.

As they got to the Matsuoka residence, they took the groceries into the kitchen.

"Okasan's not home?" Asked Rin observing the quietness in the house.

"No. She went to Obasan for a few days so we can have the house for the party."

"I see..." Said Rin taking off his jacket only to notice his cat. "Steve, I see they've been feeding you well." he said amused, crouching down to pet the cat who just ignored him walking off. "Man, why do cats hate me?"

"Don't take it personal, cats mostly hate everyone." Said Nayna coming out of the kitchen petting the fat cat.

"He doesn't hate you though...Or Gou or Okasan." He grumbled getting up.

"Hm, then I guess he just hates you."Shrugged Nayna amused going back into the kitchen as Gou called her.

He shrugged off the little jab walking towards the stairs.

"I'll take a shower. I'll help you after." He said loud enough for the girls to hear.

"I think we'll manage, Red." Said Nayna amused looking at him as she started to cut some vegetables.

"Right." He laughed as he went upstairs.

Half an hour later, he came down all changed and freshened up. He went into the kitchen that was already in full blown cooking show.
