Everyday like a sweet day find the day Oh the fine day
I want to see your open eyes, to meet and hold you, to want to carry out my secret love for you- Every sweet day, IU
We're currently at Siomai's house near the elementary school here in pantok. Just a few more steps are the barbecue place my father always went to whenever he wanted to buy me some barbecue.
I see a lot of students coming to the right as they waited for the jeepney to arrive so they can arrive at their home. The loud voice of the konduktor as he yelled out the places that their vehicle would go to, the rushing of passengers inside the already tight jeepney as well as the smoke coming from the barbecue place and the vehicle itself.
(AN: Konduktor is typically a guy, sometimes a woman, who yells the places they'll be going to and usually is an assistant of a Jeepney driver)
"Is it delicious?"
"Very"
I grew fond of watching him eat, especially seeing the delight shimmering in his eyes every time he took a bite of his favorite street fold, siomai. We were just students, I'm not from a rich family and so was he, we enjoy our simple moments and little dates by eating food outside the streets and just simply hanging out with each other.
"Here" I shake my head seeing the oncoming piece of some he wished to shove up on me. "Say ahhh~" he even went far as to treat me like a baby so I glared at him.
Of course, he was quick to use his number one weapon, acting cute and showing me those dumb puppy eyes of him, and even though I hate it so much, I was like a fool who constantly fell for it.
"Please baby? Will you take this for me? Hm?" It was like the deer in my heart galloped rapidly in my body and I feel myself flushing in either embarrassment or kilig.
"You're so cheesy- give me that!" I grab the piece of siomai in his hands and munch on it while ignoring the rumbles of laughter that I could hear from him.
We soon finished eating our food, my eyes watched some of the couples that I see walking down the streets, just barely flashing on my eyes. They were all holding hands, some of them were even acting cute in front of their boyfriends and here we are, hiding in the corner, afraid that our relationship would be exposed to my family.
It was indeed tiring and felt unfair, I felt that I was treating Eric unfairly by hiding him as if he was a shame I wish would not stain me. It was just the circumstances in my home and my promise to my parents wouldn't let me become like those other couples.
"Am I too unfair for you?" I suddenly asked out loud, we were now about to enter puregold at that time.
"What do you mean?" His voice was tinged with confusion and I lift my eyes to see that he was asking because he truly doesn't know what I'm hinting about.
"That I.... I hide you from m-my parents" I was nervous at his answer, I knew I would feel unfair and mistreated if I was told to stay low and hidden by my lover.
"I don't, you're not ready yet and besides, it's us having a relationship and not me with them. I mean I would have one in the future but not now"
"Hey!" I slap his chest playfully at what he's suggesting.
"What?"
I just scoff at his imagination and walked to the familiar street of my home, I pushed him to leave home early and watch his hike into the jeep before leaving for home.
I knew my brothers wouldn't be home till six and my mother wouldn't have the time to stand up from her sitting job.
Another day has been done and soon, the promise between the two of us will be brought up.
