It was already mine and Georgia's birthday and yes, I was indeed now screaming at the top of my lungs with flour all over my face.
It's just a ritual here in Madrigal that even the principal forbids but hey, students just love to break rules. It is when a student has their birthday and is expected to get a clean pair of shirts because they would be covered with flour and eggs as if they were about to be baked in the oven.
"Ah! You are all crazy!"
In the corner of my eyes, I saw Jeline following me with a phone in her hand, probably recording me, great.
"Hey! Stop recording me!"
My hair resembles the hair of an old person, it was white and black all over the place. When I draw my hair over my ears I saw Georgia taking the plastic filled with flour in Emil's hand and throwing it to his face.
"Don't you dare Kaye!" I started to run out of the corridors, thankfully there were not many students here since classes have already ended.
"Ange don't run!"
"I'm not stupid!" I scream back at her while she ran after me with an obsessed look on her face.
Thump.
I felt my nose broke from the collision and immediately looked up to see the student that I accidentally run into. It was Eric.
"Why are you running An- cough" my skin prickled up in danger and I beg for forgiveness to Eric in my mind before pushing him to the danger and hiding behind him.
"Eric? Where's ange- oh you get out of there!" Kaye says and I just took Eric's arms and controlled it for Kaye to not reach me.
She soon stomp on the ground making me want to chuckle but held it in, I only went out of Eric's back when I didn't see her anymore.
"Sorry Eric, I just didn't want to be thrown by flour again" I smiled sheepishly while he rubbed his forehead in helplessness at me.
"It's fine, it's your birthday anyway" then he took his handkerchief from his pockets and wipe it to my face.
I grew more embarrassed after realizing that I must have looked like a person with a cheap white lady costume on her.
"Such a cute little white lady" he wiped my nose and said making me glare at him in annoyance.
He just laughed and lead me to the teacher's bathroom to wash my face, my adviser greeted me with a happy birthday, and my friends and I finally reconciled and went home together.
Back at my house, I saw a bouquet of roses, a book from national bookstore that I took a liking to, and a chocolate roll cake from Goldilocks.
...
I'm the early days of march we suffered from heat and therefore everywhere you see one would argue over the electric fan.
I looked over the pictures that we took last December, a mini Christmas party that our group Paboy created. It was only limited for us, we went to Jamie's house, Pauline could not go because of her strict parents and Irish can only stay till midnight. Still, we managed to have fun, exchanged gifts with each other, and watch movies though the others were busy with their phones.
There's not much time left and there are signs of a graduation taking seed into our days. We knew senior year is about to end, we would separate from one another once more and went on our paths.
I'm also not sure whether I and Eric could continue to have a stable relationship. I mean even when we were together we still suffer from several factors, mostly from my jealousy and his insensitive way of dealing with girls. What more if we're from two different colleges?
"Is Kaye alright now?" Michelle asked, we shook our heads and sit in 9ur seats with glum.
It's not fun when Kaye or one of our friends were away. Kaye was also inflicted with chicken fox and it has now covered every part of her body.
"I also had chickenpox before graduation and it's not great. The texture on my skin, mostly my face affected me" Alex shares her experience, Kaye loves beauty and is one of the most fashionable students in this class.
"We can't visit her though, don't they say that even those who have been inflicted with chicken fox could still get it?" Jamie says, the other agreed and the half did not.
We could only pray for Kaye and hope that things would be better for her after all graduation is around the corner. It'll be a loss if she couldn't attend it.
