I've wished to graduate high school at a very young age, I even wanted to just skip it and go to college to avoid being stuck in school for years. Never would I have thought that I would feel slightly reluctant to leave high school.

In my first year, I was extremely nervous that I wouldn't be able to connect with other people, strangers filled my sight and I find myself closing myself to others but then they all became more known to me as time flies. Strangers to friends, we created memories and then lose some, we connected then we reconnected after a long passage of time in between us.

They say high school was the best time of your life, it was for me, every day you would try new things and chat with other people. You get to learn about new people and connect with them, you get to cry over some enemies you've made along the way, love blooms into that youthful time and you find yourself changing over and over again.

Now, graduation is what our eyes are seeing, the familiar graduation background song booming in our ears, face filled with excitement and nostalgia could be seen.

"Ange, I'll miss you!" It was Meryl, our friends formed a circle with one another, the event wouldn't happen yet till it 8.

"You're still attending VMNHS" faith poured cold water over her.

"My boyfriend wouldn't attend here," she said underneath her breath, it was suffocating to see. I do understand the feeling of being away from the person you love.

"Communication is key, I wish you two the best" Alysson advised Meryl, she and I were lucky enough to have our boyfriends still attending the same school with us.

Our mothers were talking to other parents, each of them mentioning what they are most proud of about their children and some just scolding them.

"It's about the start" Irish says after looking at her watch, we then dispersed and went to each other's class.

The event has finally started, the line begins to flow until every student was inside the school's court. The parents on the other hand were placed beside the students, a few feet away from them. The males and female were divided into two and as the event progresses, we find ourselves singing our lungs out to our national song followed by Rizal, Mabuhay, Calabarzon, VMNHS hymn.

(AN: The songs mentioned above are songs students usually sing at the flag ceremony and also in the graduation)

After that it was the principal and the other guests giving out speeches, thankfully we were seated at that time or else nobody would give attention to them after our feet wobbled in pain after standing too long.

It was then that the names of a class are now being mentioned, one by one they bowed to the stage, one that we had practiced for a long time.

It took them about an hour for our class to be mentioned, the girls lined up before the last boys from the other section has come up to the stage.

When it was my turn, I feel my hands getting clammy and my heart beating so fast like I just ran into a marathon. It felt like the light was flashing on me, I took the diploma before walking into the center of the stage and bowed.

It was very fast, it was like a blink of an eye fast and soon I stood there along with my classmates holding my diploma and watched as the others did the same as I did.

Then it was the time for giving medals to those who have honors, I was included and that's when my mom came up with me on the stage, took a picture in front before placing the medal on my neck.

I gave it to Meryl since she was so enthusiastic about it and then gave it back to me after marveling at it. I also did the same thing, marveling at the piece of silver medal in front of me that signifies my hard work for the past year.

Soon, the moving up was about to end as we displayed our musical talents as we sang farewell to you, my friend, it was both comical and saddening to watch as we sang it together.

Seeing the people that were bursting into tears was somewhat funny but then when you realized that you may have a gap between the friendship that you've made, you feel unhappy and regretful that time seems too fast.

"Oh, Eric! Come on and take a picture with Ange!" My mother was so enthusiastic after she finds Eric against a sea of people.

I and my friends just finished taking pictures with one another and seeing Eric I also wanted to have one with him, it's for memory keeping.

"Oh hello tita, thank you" he was polite and he just stood beside me with a stiff manner and even blushed beet red when my mother shouted to get closer with me.

"Say cheese!"

And that was the end of my junior high.
