Being eighteen is different from say becoming sixteen, a girl will blossom into a young lady and shed off her immaturity, all things considered, it is a celebration that needs to be celebrated with the people she loves.

Now, I am eighteen years old, someone of legal age, someone who can also bring my forbidden relationship to light.

I watch as my mother and some of my female relatives busy themselves in the kitchen, since our house isn't that big enough to accommodate a lot of people some had even moved their cooking outside. Their feet couldn't step into the ground as they flew around in every place, making this and that, preparing the ingredients, and sauteing food.

The aroma continuously flew in the air and one could easily identify that there would be a massive birthday celebration after smelling all of those foods being made one by one.

"Ange, happy birthday!"

"You're already eighteen, I still remember when you're just nine and asked for candy"

"Eh, you're a young lady now! How fast time is!"

Those are just some remarks that I've heard as I helped my parents chop some carrots and bagio beans for the pancit, minced some garlic and onions for the spaghetti, and prepare some wrapper for the Shanghai.

(AN: Pancit, Spaghetti, Shanghai are some of the most famous celebratory food that you will always see in a celebration, especially a birthday party)

"Here's the cake ma!" My eldest brother, Richard, sponsored the cake.

"Go and put it in the ref!" My mother shouted as she continued to chop some cabbages.

It started at 2 in the afternoon and now we're still not halfway done in 4 due to the food that is still being cooked. I'm just glad that the weather is pleasant or else we'll be drowning in our sweat but still, cooking requires patience and also a fan. A big fan of cold bodies.

Some of the food was given to me by my relatives and my other brothers are preparing to decorate the venue with a female companion in the name of my elder brother's girlfriend. Thank goodness she's here or else the aesthetic would definitely be horrendous if it's just the three of them decorating it.

"Are your friends about to come over?" My mother asked, she was sitting beside me as I helped her wrap the Shanghai that was about to be fried on the pan on the side.

"I told them to come over at 6 so we still have about 2 more hours to go"

She nodded and we hasten our pace, thankfully it ended at 5 and I was ushered in my room to take a nap to get that beauty sleep glow. Faith then arrived before six, she's my makeup artist and I trust her aesthetics.

"Lighter shades would be perfect for the navy blue cocktail dress that you have," she said in passing while applying some eyeshadows to my eye.

"Just make me look like this koop idols" I joked to her and instantly heard a snort.

"Don't joke with me, even if it's your birthday I won't lie to you"

I just laughed at her angrily and was now told to open my eyes, I was shocked to see how sparkly my eyes are and looked at her in awe.

"See? Even if you don't look like a pop idol at least you still got your eyes poppin" the gratefulness I have in my heart for her was easily doused in cold water by her words.

"It's my birthday! My special day, say something nice" I ordered her and she just rolled her eyes at me before giving in.

"Fine your majesty, you're so beautiful, I bet Eric would have his jaw open-"

"Shh! Do you want my birthday to be a massacre?!" I cut her off and glared at her, if my brother heard me saying any boy's name that they do not know of, they would surely interrogate me.

"Okay fine" she held her hands up in the air and soon continued doing her magic at me. Shortly after, she was finished and I look into the mirror to see well-defined features, eyes glittering and popping like stars from what she says and a bun with a small crown engraved with jewels was inserted.

The navy blue cocktail dress complimented my slightly darker skin tone, it's sweetheart neckline seems a bit vacant so a solver necklace with a blue gem to fit the dress laid.  The dress ends in my knees, its sleeves were almost transparent and were decorated in lace, the hem is composed of tulle and has a long hem behind.

"Perfect"

I look behind me and saw Faith smiling, I hugged her and murmured thank you then showed myself to my family.

Their eyes looked as if they were dazzled before appreciating my dress, of course, there is one that would always make fun of me and those are my loving brothers.

"Oh, it seems like ange transformed into a human" my second brother Jonnel was the first one to react.

"Never would've thought I'd see you so pretty in a dress" Ronnel mentioned which further darken my expression.

"Where's age? Oh- she's there, hahaha" Jhonrie guffaw in laughter as the rest of my brothers except for kuya Richard, poked fun at me.

"You three! Shut up for me!" My mother shouted and there were like lambs, I sneered at them and coddled my mom.

"I knew my mom loves me so much except for my so-called brothers!"

And that is how my debut had started.
