Two thousand nineteen, twelfth grade, two new students. It seems like this year number two is the lucky number, either way, we have new classmates and the three of our classmates who played the sport Sepak Takraw has already left the school. They went to attend another school where the school offered them a better program for their sport.
(AN: Sepak Takraw (“kick ball”) is a uniquely Southeast Asian game (now played in other regions) that is similar to volleyball but is played with a woven rattan ball and without using the hands.)
The two female students were called Georgia, a dark-skinned woman with a slender frame, and Aliyah who was a Muslim with cute chubby cheeks. The two of them were quite introverted and only kept to themselves.
"Barra, you're close with them already?" I heard someone asks, Barra is a very extroverted guy with great social skills and it's no wonder he can be friends with the two already.
"They were shy at first but grew to be close with me anymore and eventually led them to talk to me" he states simply, we were also curious about them, and it's not every day that you see new classmates transferring in the class.
Sir. Benji, a big jolly guy who loves to laugh is our Filipino literature teacher and he gave us the activity movie review that he says we would read to him in his faculty which is situated in the canteen.
"Okay everyone, for next next week's activity we would create an essay and I need you all to recite it in front of the class I will choose" at his words everyone erupted into questions, almost everyone didn't want to do it and would rather read it instead of reciting it with the risk of stumbling and forgetting your words.
Out friend Jamie was one of the students who have great memorization skills, I on the other have has a relatively simple aptitude when it comes to memorization. Worse Alex, our friend, is one of the most forgetful person in the world and is now clamoring for justice for those with the same situation as hers.
Mr. Benji left us on our own saying we should create our topics and the orders of our essay in his time. Alex chose her favorite app in the world, Wattpad to talk about and is already finished.
"Hey, do mine as well" I joked to her, it was easy for her to compose any written activity and I'm slightly jealous of that.
Soon our adviser came, it's our last period thank goodness. The students that moved their table inches away from the sun came back to their original position. We didn't have a curtain now since it was forgotten by one of our classmates when we cleaned the whole room.
It was Georgia, our new classmate that is about to report. With her big laptop and her USB, her presentation was seen by us and we all were in awe at it.
"Jamie, someone has already taken your title" Jeline teased since we know that Jamie gives hundred percent of her effort and presentations.
"She's also an artist, her drawings of Vice Ganda are so cool" Emil says, we have also scrolled on her social media account and possibly might have stalked her on Facebook.
We all watched her in awe mixed with jealousy as she presented her work thinking that she was the kind of person who is focus on her work and is silent and somewhat bizarre like an artist.
Never would we have thought that she'll be a part of our circle.
...
I watch as he end another call from an unknown number but we both know who it was.
She's being a pest, I never thought I would hate someone like her before, it never even crossed my mind that it was Eric's fault.
I have learned now, I know that Eric never meant for this to happen and that he purposefully give her hope to continue this disturbing act.
"Be honest with me" I started and he immediately stopped walking and have an anxious expression on his face that made me want to laugh.
"W-What is it?" I could hear his voice breaking and I kind of felt bad so I held his hands with me and clench it tightly, that didn't help matters. "I won't use my phone again! I-I'll delete my number, I'll use another sim yes! I won't talk to any gi-"
"Okay that's enough!" I stop him from spouting nonsense and made my voice soft. "I was just about to tease you- I wanted to ask if you gave her a love potion that she can't seem to forget you" I say word by word and the realization in his face was now apparent.
"Oh"
That sent me cackling in laughter, I just shook my head at his silliness before giving him another warning.
"You better not be close to her or else..." I trailed off and he was quick on his feet.
"I won't! You're the only girl in my eye, everyone else is a cabbage!"
I snorted before placing a kiss on his cheeks and whispering good job before entering my street. Thankfully there's wasn't many people outside or else I'll be looked at.
