We bought the book that she wanted, a sci-fi fairytale story of Cinderella one that we have asked her numerous times if she wanted this or the other. Jamie bought a donut pillow and we were now being asked by her if we're still going to her home.

"Damn that Emil, he's probably out with a guy again!" Jamie curses as she drummed her fingers on her arm with an annoyed expression.

"I'm here!" We both look to our right, to our dismay it was Espe and groaned when our phone buzzed again, it must be Alex cursing us out for being so late.

"Should we just leave that guy? I swear he always says he's on the way but he's definitely not" Jeline proposes, her baby loves- Pauline was still held by her strict mother and wouldn't be able to come to Alex's debut.

"I'm here! Sorry for the wait!"

Emil came running towards our direction, he was ok the left side since we were in the intersection and is waiting at the national waiting shed, the 7-11 in pantok.

"Ah! Finally!"

Emil was hit and condemned by the girls surrounding him and we were soon off to Alex's house. It didn't take us long to get there, she was surrounded by her other friends and we saw Barra on the side.

"Alex!"

"Georgina!"

The 'twins' hugged each other as if they just net each other after long years of separation stemming from any dramatic scene you could find on television.

"Come in, come in!" Alex was dressed in a dark blue sleeveless dress that fits perfectly with her fair complexion.

We saw the tarpaulin has posted on the wall with her face and a bunch of kpop idols behind which made us burst into laughter. The food was presented at the long table as we huddled together at the long wooden seat.

"Oh Sandra, let your friends eat" there came a middle-aged woman whom she calls her grandma as she beckons for us to eat.

"Emil you go! You were the late one!" Jamie pushed Emil to take the lead as he grumbles at us before standing and walking to the long table filled with food.

The rest of us took turns shopping for food, I tasted the menudo that I heard from Alex that was cooked by her father and it was delicious, much flavorful than my mother's cooking.

(AN: Pork Menudo is a Filipino pork stew dish with carrots and potato)

Soon we sang her a happy birthday, the karaoke that her father borough which she whined at us since it was supposed to be the money that she would get for the school trip.

Our stomach has long gone off its food as we celebrated with her singing and wishing her happy days to come. With her other friends outside singing karaoke, we urged her to sing.

"Akoy nasa malate alas siete ng gabi..." She sang Banyo queen and we were quick to cheer her up, took our phones and recorded her, and almost laughed out loud seeing Georgia having the microphone.

(AN: Banyo Queen is a Filipino song by rapper Andrew E. and yes, I did sing that on my debut *facepalm)

"Happy birthday, Alex, I hope to see you in heaven so lessen your curses okay?"

"How do you know you're going to heaven huh? Besides you better not cry in front of me or else I'll shout curses at your boyfriend again"

Yeah, she truly is an Amazona and what can I say? I do quite like her brash and violent but cute self.

...

Soon it was time for On the Job Training which our former adviser from grade 11 would take. I wanted to go to the municipal of binangonan along with Jamie and the others wanted to go to do as staff crews.

The weather has become cold and pleasant, our teacher for creative writing assigned two groups for a performance-based assessment for our final exam. We would be performing a theater drama and it would be conducted in December and it's already the start of the month of October.

"How's your research?"

I accompanied Eric today since most of my friends have gone out to practice. Irish was now held by her leader since she'll be part of the main cast for this year's theater performance, Alyssa, Meryl, and Faith were now coped up with two research: one for their research subject and the other for the entrepreneur subject. They were crying to me yesterday about it, I can only try to lessen their burden by encouraging them and giving them support.

"It's almost halfway done, the three chapters are basically the results and there is not much to do just revising," he said the last word with revulsion and I can understand him, just a few days ago I saw Alex crying on our table due to research and I can only help her wipe her tears and encourage her other members to work with her.

"Where are you going to do your OJT?" His brows furrowed, I wanted to take back my words but he smiled softly at me and patted my hand after seeing the panic in my eyes. "I'm fine, just a bit stressed but we only have a few months left so let's cherish our everyday moments okay?"

I nodded, I may have vented all my frustrations and problems at him and that could have added to his stress.

"Sorry, okay let's eat this stress out hm?" I smiled at him and took him to madrigal where my favorite kwek kwek (orange-colored quail eggs covered in flour) is at.

The two of us shared a 20 peso worth of quail eggs and drinks, each of us retelling the memory of our childhood and loosening ourselves up to get away from the stress of school.
